artfarm is about 30' outside of Cologne, sweet and scenic in a 2-road village. cute bar/restaurant (lunch/dinner only), great food plus a 3 meter bier. room for 4 was super clean, very basic, lots of nice towels. low ceiling in this attic room - no one over 6 feet unless you don't mind hunching over. helpful staff, must pay for the room up front.
We had 2 separate bedrooms so for a couple travelling with older child
it was good to have the privacy. The location was excellent and the
restaurant at the hotel served wonderfully home-cooked Hungarian food.
The landscape around the area was picturesque and the neighbourhood was

on corner of the 2 main streets, so loud during busy times. night time was very quiet. good coffee - hard to find in the morning!.
The restaurant was not open for breakfast and the staff spoke very
little English but then again we spoke very little German or Hungarian.
We were not informed about check-out procedure and since no staff was
available when we needed to check out we had to ask a near-by
establishment to use their phone (no cell service available). Luckily
the owner was able to be reached and it all worked out in the end.
