  We stayed there on the 28th July 2013 and wished we had longer. The owner Claire and her husband were lovely people and went out of there way to make our stay welcome. our kids said it was the best hotel they have ever stopped at. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the breakfast was excellent. Even though it was a rainy day there is loads ... what people say » of things for the kids to do. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be going back again - I found the stay very pleasant, exceptional, more than enough at breakfast - better than most hotels and value for money overall - with the customer care

  Charming and helpful hosts. Very comfortable room in lovely family house - very quiet too. Location excellent as within walking distance of centre and restaurants, and not far from the hospital where we had an appointment early the next morning. Parking was easy and nearby - essential as we had our dog with us! Not far from the ferry terminal in La Palais we found our B & B where we were going to recover from the exertions of the last few months - Maison de Stermaria. In this day and age it's not often that something is even more be - We had an amazing stay. The guest house is situated close to the main port (Le Palais) and offers a breathtaking view on the ocean. The owners were really friendly and shared with us useful tips to discover Belle-Ile. The room was arranged with taste and was also very comfortable. You wake up every morning with a great view on the ocean from your bed and have then the best breakfast of the island! I highly recommend Maison de Stermaria for a good rest.
