A wonderful, elegant guest house in the historic countryside of Normandy. Just a couple miles from Ste. Mere Eglise. Our hosts were wonderful, as was Genevieve, who prepared a fabulous dinner for us one night. Very quiet location, and beautiful grounds. -

Vincent and his family were so warm and welcoming into their several
hundred year old "fortress". It was beautiful. We are American
but live in Italy and travel a lot for work and leisure. This was one of
our favorite places to stay. From the kindness of the owner, to the
incredible food and decorating, to the beautiful views, (I could go
on)....

Very "country French" -- newly remodeled, private bath, and
charming, comfortable bedroom. Excellent, plentiful breakfast; Vincent
even cooked us eggs and bacon to accompany the smorgasbord. Best thing:
his dinner! (He will cook if his guests request it.)

The most amazing Chateau in the country. Our host was great and the
family history so interesting. Decorated as you would expect in a French
chateau. The dining room for breakfast was breath taking. Not far from
Mont Mt Michel We would have loved to stay longer. Would go back in a

Stayed for 2 nights on the upper floor. Secure parking. Run by a very friendly couple Dutch and French spoke excellent English. welcomed by their children on arrival. Room large and warm, very clean. If you are visiting the Normandy beaches about 30mins away, Close to Bayeux. Town of Falaise just down the road. Breakfast adequate. Very nice setting tranquil and peaceful.

The owners were very hospitable and we were made very welcome. Every
detail had been the thought about. The room was beautifully decorated
and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice,
including homemade jam and meat and cheese from the local area. The
owners could not do enough for us and our baby son. -

It was a wonderful and charming little hotel converted from an old girls school. The young couple there in the day spoke good English and were very helpful, and the woman around in the morning was very charming and helpful despite not speaking English. Breakfast was in the courtyard on a sunny morning. The room was charming and had wooden beams. A real fantastic place where we spent one night, centrally located next to the marina and an abundance of restaurants.

This was a great B&B. Ryes is a very small country town in Normandy but it is central to all the D-Day sights (most are within 1 hour drive) and you can go to a nearby town on Gold Beach for great restaurants by the sea. The owner is very friendly and the rooms are well appointed.

The staff were friendly and Christine the hostess was great, she made us feel very welcome and always had a smile; nothing was too much trouble. The rooms was very clean, comfortable and modern, with tasteful decoration. The food was amazing and good value for that level cuisine. Good place all round, would go there again. -
