  The unit we received was very spacious and had a small kitchen and dining area. The area were the hotel is located is very beautifull. We parked our car just outside the hotel and only had to walk a few steps to it. This is convinient when there is so much snow on the ground. - Good restaurant, large bedroom for a reasonable price, very quiet room ... what people say » ideal to rest.

  This is the best hotel that I have stayed at in France. It is an historic 18th century building, formerly a nobleman's dwelling (Marie Antoinette indeed slept there) and is on the famous Place Stanislas, a unesco World Heritage Site. The room was spacious, the air conditioning was excellent (I was there for a week in the middle of a brutal heatwav... what people say » e), the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and modern, the staff was very helpful and courteous, and the wifi is free and worked well. I h - The location of the hotel is perfectly situated on Place Stanislas a d close to all major attractions in Nancy. The staff were excellent and showed real hospitality, and our room was so comfortable that it was a pleasure to return and relax. Wifi was one of the best we have had so far travelling throughout France. Would highly recommend this hotel.

  We felt so welcome. Antoine and Sylvie made us feel right at home. Our room was so comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was offered a wide variety of choices and fresh coffee or tea and juice.   Our apartment (no. 3) was located upstairs overlooking the garden from the living room. It is a nice size, clean and comfortable, a home from home. The small kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, including tea, coffee, sugar and dishwasher tablets. The Dutch owner is very friendly and speaks good English, too. The garden looked pleasant as well, but - From the first welcome coffee to the warm, friendly farewell, we felt pampered in luxury surroundings and refreshingly spacious gardens. The Residence is close to the bakery, canal and small supermarket and the short walk to each is enjoyable. Further afield, are historic Verdun and the battlefield memorials of WW1. The proprietor of The Residence can assist with tourist information as well as being fluent in French, English, Dutch and German.

The owner went out of her way to be helpful, communicating with us about our plans, helping with dinner recommendations, and even helping to find somewhere to have our car repaired after it developed a problem on the outward journey.
