  Beautiful place in a quaint village that has one of the steepest and surprising approaches we have ever seen. A short walk back up the hill to the Auberge for evening meal before a good nights sleep in a lovely room. Nice breakfast with views of the lake. Claudia and Alain are great hosts !

  Very nice location, extremely beautiful house, great terrace, excellent home-made food, restaurant worth some stars, welcoming owners. Our room (Instituteur) was very well decorated, with an adjustable electric bed, the bathroom was spacious and with a very well thought shower space, so just perfect. The owners ran a high class yacht charter business, and it shows. Their attention to detail is superb, the food was fantastic. The general location can not be bettered and they were both helpful in giving all the information one could wish for. One small hotel that should be on the very top of your list.

  Excellent value for money. Stylish hotel with only 10 rooms, so we were made very welcome by the owners. Whirlpool bath was a delightful additional feature. It's rather out of the way but this means it's also very quiet. Meals were superb, too. - Our stay at La Bastie D'Urfe, although short, was very memorable.
