  We love to stay in this apartment as the room is spacious with many kitchen equipments (except water boiler). My dad could take care of himself with cooking tools while my mom and I were not around. It is very convenient for travellers who like to focus on old historic city as it is only some minutes away but make sure you need to be fit to climb ... what people say » up the rock floor.. - Space. It was pretty big the apartment for my famility to stay (couple + 1yr old baby + 3 yrs. old child). The location was perfect. Very close to the castle. The access is very good to go walking. Not recomended to go to the castle with the baby trolley but this has nothing to do with the hotel/appartment. Very very good price/quality ratio.

  I don't want to start writing because I won't stop! So much care and attention to detail has gone into the Dochavert; you see it everywhere you look. Gwendoline and Philipe are fastidious and generous; welcoming and discerning; thoughtful and kind. I felt a part of their home. It truly is a special place; I can't think of one thing in the house or... what people say » the grounds that was ugly or was not chosen specifically for its form and function. Breakfast was a marvel, worthy of any 5* hotel and the highlight - We had amazing time at B&B Dochavert. Location is perfect, only 10-minute walk to the old city and restaurants. This is a very beautiful B&B, hosts are the nicest people. They met us with champagne and snacks. Gweni was very helpful, she recommended few great restaurants in Carcassonne along with other beautiful places to visit while we were in Languedoc. The property is gorgeous with beautiful views of the castle and countryside. We had great breakfast with the most marvelous variety

  This was well situated within easy walking distance of the castle, and with a shockingly good bakery right across the road. The room was tidy and clean, and the beds were very confortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and serviced the room daily. They also were very patient with my schoolgirl French. We didn't try the breakfast ( thank... what people say » s largely to the all too tempting cakes on offer across the road), but it did look like a good selection and seemed very popular. It was very good val - Great price, free secure carpark comfy bed and its a 15min walk to La Cite. But In the hot summer sun the walk to La Cite is punishing. No footpath or shelter, older travelers should be careful. Because of this we drove our car back to La Cite at 8pm, and the was free at this time in the evening.

  Being an apparthotel we had complete flexibility to "eat in" rather than find a restaurant every night as there was a small and surprisingly well-equiped kitchenette with all that we needed in the way of utensils for light meal preparation; this also made our stay in Cacassonne very economical. The location is good as the hotel is on the main road... what people say » into Carcassonne coming on the motorway from Narbonne; it is also only short distance from the mediaeval cité. The indoor pool and sauna were a bonu - The hotel has a large internal parking available and is within walking distance from the medieval city. The staff is friendly and helpful: there was a problem with the room they assigned us - twin beds instead of a double one - and they were very accomodating, and quick in finding a solution. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment and it was very clean and spacious, with a large balcony and a stunning view of the fortified ramparts. The bathroom was well-furnished and immaculate. Everywhere there are beautiful fl - The staff was very kindly. They were just like a mam and dad. Everything we asked, they do it. The make warm in the microwave our food we bought in the supermarket. The bed and breakfast was very beautiful and romantic. The swimming pool was very clean and we could use it when we want. On two minutes walk, there is a bus who is going to the center for only 1 euro. We would recommend this bed and breakfast on everyone!
