  Friendly owner with excellent English who made us feel welcome and helped us each day with our travel plans. It was one of the highlights of our stay to befriend Gilles and his friendly little dog, Cosette! We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast each morning. There are a few great supermarkets nearby so a couple of the evenings we were able to have a lighter evening snac - We had a wonderful five day stay in Nice recently. Despite the cool and sometimes rainy weather we managed to have a good time with a marvelous bike tour of the city, a visit to Villefranche and Beaulieu with lots of walking to take in the incredible scenery, a visit to the medieval village of Eze and a lovely, if wet, day visiting the Matisse, Chagall and Beaux Arts museums.   Location of this hotel is perfect. It is over the Rue Massena, the loveliest pedestrian street, many bistros and bars,restaurants. Anja was helpful and spoke english very well. Our superior studio located in a different building , with a big bathroom, balcony onto street the room was perfectly equipped. Highly recommended and I will be going - I loved it! Perfect location, the kitchen is very well equipped, the room is quite small but had everything I needed. Even if it is located on a very busy pedestrian street, once I closed the windows, the noise didn't disturb me one bit. I am a light sleeper and I was quite worried that I would be up all night, but I didn't hear any noise. I am planning my next trip to NIce and will be ataying at Ajoupa!

Staff who met us on arrival with keys and on our departure were very nice. - Apartment was les orchidees (or a name like that cant remember exactly), when we initially booked i looked up the apartment we had been assigned and emailed them saying we requested a change of apartment - which they did with no issues. Check in and out no probs, as others stated be aware you need to clean apartment (or pay high fees fir housekeeping). good location. Very well stocked apartment (all cleaning products, tea coffee etc).

  I would not have appreciated my visit to Nice as much if I had not stayed at Villa Leonie. Over-all, the atmosphere was exceptional. They are located in a quiet garden setting, but are just a short walk away from grand scenic views of the coastline, the ocean, and the best view of the entire city of Nice. And yet at the same time, they are near to... what people say » the hustle and bustle of everything in the heart of the city. The directrice and her staff were friendly and very helpful. Their information, advice, - A wonderful location - about 5 minutes from a small and relatively quiet beach and a pleasant 15 minute stroll along the sea front into the old town. The welcome couldn't have been warmer and the room was very comfortable and clean. Being able to sit in the lovely garden to read and have breakfast was a real added bonus. If we return to Nice we will gladly stay at Villa Leonie again.
