  Very clean and comfortable hotel. Location is great in terms of being close to the train station (makes getting in and out very easy), and nearby the train station there are also a lot of shops (like supermarket) and restaurants. (at least 20 min walk to all those) You can also take the tram alternatively. - Situated in the centre of Nice and within a couple of minutes walk of the main railway station, the hotel had a pretty Mediterranean courtyard garden. The rooms overlooked the garden and hence the hotel was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a relaxing atmosphere. The Promenade des Anglais is an easy 10 minute walk. Would stay there again.

  I have stayed in the Excelsior several times and as I have friends who live in Nice and I can visit them easier as I now know my way to their house.   This was by far the best hotel we stayed in on our trip. The staff werevery helpful. Breakfast was very good. Very good value for money. - The hotel was clean and convienently located. easy 5 minute walk from train station. Hotel owner was very friendly.

  I liked the professional but relaxed attitude by the staff to guests. I would certainly stay there again.   Friendly owner with excellent English who made us feel welcome and helped us each day with our travel plans. It was one of the highlights of our stay to befriend Gilles and his friendly little dog, Cosette! We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast each morning. Despite the cool and sometimes rainy weather we managed to have a good time with a marvelous bike tour of the city, a visit to Villefranche and Beaulieu with lots of walking to take in the incredible scenery, a visit to the medieval village of Eze and a lovely, if wet, day visiting the Matisse, Chagall and Beaux Arts museums.   Location of this hotel is perfect. It is over the Rue Massena, the loveliest pedestrian street, many bistros and bars,restaurants. Anja was helpful and spoke english very well. Our superior studio located in a different building , with a big bathroom, balcony onto street the room was perfectly equipped. Highly recommended and I will be going - I loved it! Perfect location, the kitchen is very well equipped, the room is quite small but had everything I needed. Even if it is located on a very busy pedestrian street, once I closed the windows, the noise didn't disturb me one bit. I am a light sleeper and I was quite worried that I would be up all night, but I didn't hear any noise. I am planning my next trip to NIce and will be ataying at Ajoupa!
