  The attention of the staff was first class as was the service! We stayed in the 'old' part of the hotel which was very comfortable and very clean. All the staff were exceptionally helpful! - The room was very welcoming after a long drive and the facilities excellent. The dining room, food and wine were exceptional value for money.

  Le Vauban is excellently placed in the heart of montreuil sur mer! Right on the square. Plenty of parking right outside, view of the square from our room. The rooms were perfect for my husband, myself and five year old daughter. My parents stayed in another room and loved it. My dad is six foot four (hard to find comfy bed)and said beds were comfy... what people say » , had no problem with the shower which was tiny and enjoyed the breakfast and dinner he ate at the hotel. The lady who jointly runs it is very helpful - The owners and staff in this two-star establishment were very friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant offers a fresh, home made menu and does it very well. The sheltered terrace is a nice place to have a drink or eat in the sun. The optional breakfast is also excellent and offers more than most. Very good value for money overall. Nicely situated on the square with easy access. Madame speaks very good English which is a bonus for we who have not mastered French!

  The lady running the front desk was very nice and helpful. Rooms and public areas were lovely. It was very quiet. It was particularly good that it had a kettle to make tea and coffee as most hotels in Europe (as opposed tot UK, US and Australia) do not have this. - One of the best hotels we ever stayed.   Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely location and beautiful gardens. It is a shame we didn't have more time there. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but breakfast on the terrace was delicious and a delightful spot. Woken at 6.00am by the smell of fresh baking bread.   The staff were excellent and really helpful. We were with a young baby And they made it very easy. The only downside is the stairs are steep with low ceilings, so not easy to navigate with luggage or holding a baby. - Next to the square so restaurants nearby. Everything catered for with charming owner, every wish catered for in terms of food and comfort, really you could not hope for more, sadly on the days we went in February, France was closed. If they want people to visit all year round they should consider this.
