    Surprisingly large and surprisingly quiet as well, Domus Academica is a good place for those who like minimalism and is seld-contained. There are several buildings, including houses for living, swimming pool and sauna (the two last-mentioned are free for visitors: every morning from 7 till 8:30 for women and from 8:30 till 10 for men). Each room has a separate bathroom and a tiny kitchen, while the houseware could be borrowed from the kitchen - We just needed a quiet place where we could cook food, and rest between shopping and sightseeing, without carpets on the floor. Since we both have to avoid certain foods, the cooking and opportunity to keep food cold was essential. It was very cheap compared to other self-catering options, and the windows effectively shut out noise from the streets. There wasn't an endless party going on as in some hostels.     It was my second time there and Eurohostel is still good. Breakfast is a buffet with multiple yummy dishes (and I'm a fan of Finnish meatballs). It costs €8.50. I could see Mariella (Viking's ferry) from my room. They have free morning sauna, in the evening you have to pay €7.50 for sauna access card. Location is fine, 24 hour check-in and out, room cleaning every 4 day, common areas are regulary cleaned and fully equipped (fridge, electro stoves and microwave at the kitchen). Sauna is very good.
