The location was superb, right next to Fat Margaret, within the walls of old Tallin but without all the mayhem. Tram is a one minute walk, both ferry terminals are walkable too. Bike rental grocery also very close. And the breakfast was outstanding. I was a very satisfied customer. The location of the hotel is good - right at the beginning of the Old City. The hotel itself is quite atmospheric because of its design as a castle. For what we`ve paid we got a great deal!.
all reviews » Room was nice and I liked the view. Staff was helpful and spoke english, not very well though. Beds were cozy and the room was neat. Considering the price everything was as expected. The hotel's location is very good - At the entrance to the old town and not far away from the tram stations. The hotel is very cozy and the room rates are fair for what you get. Great location in quiet area with ample space in room, good comfortable bed and good shower and bathroom facilities. Good value for money and staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed here 2 nights and location is excellent. The hotel is a old 14th Century house converted really nice place. Staff were helpfull and excelent valu for money. Didn`t greet at all, and when we were saying "hello" or "good morning" we could hardly hear anything back. All of 3 reception girls were always busy with their computer, not even a glance on a person passing by. Breakfast could have been a lot better. Air conditioning would have been nice, but luckily the weather wasn't too hot. On our arrival the representative at the reception was busy flirting with some guy and didn't attend to us at all which was very annoying. The other staff members was OK. The rooms are very small so if you're used to big rooms it might not be the place for you. Spider on a wall in the first morning, but he was delicate enough to not appear any more when I was in room :). Breakfast was a little limited in choice. No A/C in the room. You only need that in Tallinn a few days a year, unfortunately this was one of them. No elevator. Small breakfast room. We had one of the bottom-floor rooms and there was a slight bit of street-noise, but not a major problem. The walls are too thin and you can hear next door noises, we were in the below street rooms and street noise was came in easy. The shower curtian didint do its job. Lack of a/c on roof floor, small window with no possibility to open. After reading other comments we chose the standard bedroom as everybody said that the rooms were really tiny. The standard ones are small than normal size but you have enough space to be 2persons. I recommend to take those ones. Good breakfast, but small dining room to eat and some rooms where just in this room, so I suppose if you are sleeping there is not comfortable at all. Personally for me not comfortable beds and too small room. The 2nd not is not a big problem though, since spent time in the room was not too much. Very small bathroom, lack of air condition could be also problem during hot summer. The room was small. The staff could be a little friendlier. The room was far too small for two people: this we made known at the time. Rooms a bit small and breakfast room a bit cramped. With open windows very loudly. None. Being in a historical building, the room had a curious shape which would have been no problem, however it had an enormous double bed that took almost all the space and effectively closed down a corner of the room. For a single person it was all right but two people could have some difficulties... Breakfast was good, but not perfect. Small room,. I was in the basement. I had initial reservations about being in a room without a window, but I accept it was stylishly done. Was described as having toiletries, but had only hand and body wash which were the same. No shampoo and conditioner. No kettle in the room for tea/coffee. I was there for a whole week, towels were changed but sheets weren't and sink and shower wasn't cleaned. Juice on breakfast buffet was worse than Tang. The room was very small, no cabinet (no space for a cabinet) and the bathroom was also very small. Breakfast was quite simple and they were out of almost everything. Had to ask for more bread etc. The staff was clearly not enjoying their jobs as they were rude and not willing to speak english, which I think is essential for a citycenter hotel. no parking. Could not manage breakfast at a table unless went very early. It is that busy. Also, my room was underground with no window. our room on 4th floor was very small with a bathroom, not very comfortable. Small bathroom, soo soft bed...
