Our stay at Apartments Petra was wonderful. The hostess, Ileana, is so welcoming and gives great travel/sightseeing ideas. We were welcomed with lemoncello and enjoyed delicious cherry brandy (homemade!) the next day. We enjoyed an outdoor barbeque on her beautiful outdoor patio, and she spent time to help us get the fire started and everything set up. The apartments are bit outside of downtown (about 10 min. drive), but she will call a very nice cab company that will take you to old town .

She welcomed us to Zadar with some homemade cherry brandy and some juice for our daughter, as well as maps of Zadar and restaurant recommendations (which were excellent). Location is within 5 minutes driving from old town Zadar. Be aware, though, that gps will not find the location for you so it's a good idea to look up on Google maps or contact the hotel for directions. Thanks for everythi. Ileana (the hostess) was very friendly, welcoming and offered us homemade Limoncello and Višnjevac (cherry brandy) upon our arrival. She also suggested a very nice restaurant with delicious meals that was very reasonably priced (5min walk from the apartment). The room was exactly as pictured and clean. Hair dryer was available downstairs. As we arrived late in the evening, Ileana even gave us a flashlight to walk to the restaurant as some parts of the streets were not that well luminated. If you have a car, it is a short drive to both the old city of Zadar and Nin. Ileana is an excellent hostess who greeted us with a big smile and lots of help. Staff, view. The only thing I can say is the beds weren't incredibly soft, although they also were far from the worst beds we have encountered. Everything else was great. hard beds, no scissors, no change of the garbage bin -> can start to smell. a little sofa in the appartment on the top floor could be nice for chilly evenings. noise of surrounding construction sites in the morning is possible. Nothing - it was all we were asking for!. For a family with kids, might feel a bit cramped after a few days....probably better for couples, or couple with one child. That said, for one night it was perfect!. The bathroom is very small and the bed is an old one - not very confortable. It is a little bit far away from the Zadar's old center. The only Thing i could say is the location a bit lost And a lack of sign direction from the main Road. It is a very small studio apartment but perfectly adequate for the two nights we stayed there. After traveling for 7months in Europe, this was the smallest studio I have ever seen. And, the toilet had a sewer smell. A little bit hard to find, but its worth it when you do! A bit of a walk to the beach, 10-15 mins, we had a car and drove down and parked. It was far from the center of the town although only 10 minutes with a car. Location is somewhat further from old town (not an issue for me). The good thing is that you can sleep in a quiet area. It helps to have a car, the downtown of Zadar is an hours walk away. Bed sheet was not very comfortable. The apartment was initially hard to find and would be difficult to get to without a car. The street was new and wasn't found by the gps or even google maps. Finding the place for the first time was not very easy. Nothing to complain. Towel not changed and room not cleaned during our 3 night's stay.
