The owner of the villa was great. We arrived in the evening and he was there to greet us. He was very helpful with providing us information about the area. The villa was amazing. The view was great, and there were great restaurants walking distance from the villa. The villa was very clean and the bathroom had just been remodeled. It was a great place to just sit back and relax. Loved my stay.
all reviews » The apartment was clean and spacious. We really appreciated the large balcony. Fresh towels were available every day. Marina could not have been more helpful. Breakfasts, included in our fee, were excellent. The local bus stoopped just outside the apartments which was perfect for us as we had chosen not to have a car that week.I just spent 2 weeks traveling all of Croatia and this was by far the nicest accomodation ~ the owners were so kind and made us feel so welcome. There is a beautiful beach nearby where there are free lounge chairs/towels/umbrellas to use. Can't say enough good things about our stay!. Everything was just amazing, good location, cleanliness of rooms was over expected, extremely helpful and kind stuff, there were cooking facilities in the room, the view from the room to the sea, so this hotel is more than highly recommended. Airport shuttle is good and cheaper than taxi wich costed abaout 60-70 kuna more - and he had problems finding the hotel also. The location was the plus and it was within easy reach of the beach.An electric kettle, a corkscrew and can opener would have made self catering easier. The Villa Stipe is not easy to spot from the road. I would be almost impossible to find at night. There should be better signs on the side of the road.We loved everything about our stay at Villa Stipe and hope to return in the near future. Hard to find - really needs a sign on the road.Where the hotel is based in Podstrana there are very limited facilities. Just a few bars and one local shop. However Split - The main city of the north is just a 15min bus ride away and the bus stop is immediately outside the apartments. Difficult to find. need to have very good map with exact location. signage very small. Hosts were very helpful. They met us at our car and directed us to their villa. !!!!!. no cooked breakfast. to hard to find. the stairs because there is no elevator and with suitcases could be a problem. And the location near the busy road from Split to Dubrovnik. The bed for the 3rd person was quite uncomfortable; the mattress needs to be a little thicker!! Otherwise, a very pleasant experience and I would recommend this as a place to stay.We were driving and found it difficult to find. Our room is one of the few which did not have a full view on the sea. Not a big issue, but it is worth mentioning that not all rooms ahve a view on the sea.Maybe the filter of the conditioning air had to be changed for it smelled a little. Is difficult to find if you don't have a good map of the area (google maps or via michelin failed absolutely). the only negativ point, between hotel and the sea was a street. Hard to find: absolutely no signs from the main road. Missleading information abaout internet, wich apparantly was free if you brought your own laptop, or asked to borrow from the staff, and they had one wich they also used. No info in the room abaout services, and very little info abaout diffrent activities. The location of the hotell was not good regarding small children, bad sidewalks, heavy traffic and very little restaurants nearby.I originally booked this accommodation in March and was amazed by the positive reviews and the pics of the rooms. However, on arrival (after a 2 day drive from Southern Italy), I was shown our apartment which was a loft conversion and not at all like the pics on the website. For a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls, there was only 1 small wardrobe!.

7 km southeast of the centre of Split lies the beautiful Riviera. There are lots of scenic places to visit, one of the most attractive being Podstrana - a small tourist town full of Mediterranean ambience and abundant vegetation. It is located not far from Split in central Dalmatia. Podstrana is embellished by dense vegetation and the natural gift of the clean sea. It provides for an ultimate escape from everyday life.

Local and informal restaurants and inns offer the most tasty domestic food specialities. Mild climate makes your stay pleasant even out of season. The hotel Le Méridien Lav which is also very close (200 m), provides entertainment and sportive recreation.

The closeness to Split, which is only 7 km away, makes it possible for you to visit museums, exhibitions and the Split Summer Festival. The nearest airport is 30 km away, while the ferry is just 10 minutes by car.

The airport Split-Resnik resides in Kaštela, about 35 km from the Villa Stipe. Villa Stipe offers in its arrangement an organised airport transfer from the airport to the hotel. Split bus station, train station and ferry port are located in the centre of Split, 8 km from here. The bus from Split to Omiš goes from the centre of Split to our home. The ferry port is located in the centre of Split also. By car: - Exit the Zagreb-Split motorway at Dugopolje and follow signs to Split. - 15 km before Split, follow the signs for Dubrovnik - road (D-8). -Please use the largest hotel in Croatia - Le Meriden Lav - to find Apart-hotel Stipe easier. Le Meriden Lav is located on Grljevacka 2 and Apart-Hotel Stipe Grljevacka 3b. - When you see the entrance of this hotel keep on driving for about 300/400 metres further south east on the same road. - Stop on the bus station and across the road you will see a short steep slope to us. If you have any trouble finding the hotel please call us and we will help you. (if necessary pick you up and lead you to our hotel)
