The staff were friendly and profession. At the raffles you feel comfortable and get the feeling of being at home. Hotel was very clean and you got value service for your money. The best way of describing my stay at the Raffles is to say splendid. Friendly staff, super location, extremely clean (spotless in fact), great room service speed, towels/bathroom freebies etc new daily - really hard to fault - it was very quiet because it was Chinese New Year - though no complainbts from us.

John Spooner, Raffles Ambassador, who smoothed out a lot of the wrinkles in the Raffles experience and ensured that what we had been promised was received. Very nice hotel in a great location--right near a subway stop which helps to get around Beijing. The staff was friendly and English speaking, especially Jack who was extra helpful and corteous. Great friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Everything you would expect from a Raffles hotel. The service was really good, during your stay as well as after that. The bathroom was good. everything, nothing was to much trouble and John the manager was superb. We had a great 5. Day stay at Raffles.Service levels were excellent. When one spends long hours in the room, the air feels dry as there was no possibilty of opening the window to allow for fresh air. This is a point to be considered. Expensive mini-bar, ridiculously expensive restaaurants (we went to Ghost Street and dined with the locals) - am sure Raffles is fine if u want a more western experience meal - we wanted authenticity!. No airconditioning. Although I realise this was beyond the control of the Hotel staff, it made for an uhcomfortable experience for a heat sensitive couple. N/A. The aircon in the room wasn't working the whole time we were there it was so hot. My only 'slight' criticism was that the atmosphere was quite sterile and business-like, not that this is a bad thing per se, but as we were there on holiday and not with work, I just felt a little out of place in shorts and trainers ready to scramble the 'wild wall' as opposed to work attire. Just don't know it was the noise of heating system or outdoor facilities... Kind of annoying.... nothing. Nothing. Housekeeping was very late in cleaning our room. We would leave at 9:30, come back at 3:30 and our room still was not made up. nothing. Spa limited. There was nothing to dislike. Spa/pool not working.. "water pollution" Windows do not open, not as clean as you would expect of af 5* hotel. Lacks outdoor area. Spa was very disappointing. The price is too expensive comparing with other nearby 5-star hotel. Hotel is dated.
