Proximity to slopes and activities and shops. We have skied all over Europe and have never experienced such an all inclusive resort. Great skiing, safe, varied and suit all levels. Ski right back to your accommodation, have a swim, relax in hot tub and then out for dinner in a choice of fab eateries all within the village. I couldn't say one bad word about the resort or the hotel. Love it love it love it. And that includes 2 hard to please teenagers who agree 100%.
all reviews » Modern, clean and very comfortable room with fridge and coffee-making facilities. Great location with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Staff extremely helpful and gave us some very useful tips for our onward journey. The front desk staff were amazing! Very accommodating, patient, friendly, and courteous. Joanna, Richard, and Kyle went above and beyond expectations, excellent customer service! I can't thank you enough. Whistler was very busy but our room was quite and peaceful. Because parking was not available on site the staff quickly valeted the car off site and returned it promptly when we asked. Center of all restaurants and activities Several entrances from 2 levels no matter where you had been. Staff suggested where to park in the garage to be close to the elevator. The room was of adequate size for a solo traveller. The ski valet service was great when available at the top of the stairs but this only occurred 2 of 5 ski days. Location Staff. Location. Location. rooms were stuffy and the bathroom smelled. Expensive for ski lift passes No great deal on weekly passes. Whistler can be a confusing resort when you first arrive and it took us some time to find the hotel. Traditional double room was a little cramed for space and decor on that side of the hotel was old and outdated but very clean nonetheless!. Too many people in Whistler. Having to pay $20 for underground parking - there is no parking lot beside the hotel. Nothing at all. The room is a bit small and it is somehow noisy at night. The only thing we missed was a kitchenette as the meals are quite expensive. Nothing. Rented a kitchenette and the knives were beyond dull. So dull they were dangerous. I feel this should be routinely checked by the lodge and not left to the guest to have them switched out. We didn't realize there would be a fee for parking underground. Being told by the staff that if I had contacted the hotel directly and told them that we had stayed there previously that we would get an upgrade or a percentage off the room. Why could this not have been offered at check out???. the slow and small elevators. No complaints. Would be better to have sauna, pool & hot tub all together not different floors. Booking had not gone through & room was not ready. Check in hours are late (4pm!). Absolutely nothing. a bit noisy in the evening. Not well ventilated on top level of loft. Drunk loud yelling group of very early 20 year old female bachelorettes- six -10 drunk drinking party of guys in the secured underground parkade in the evening of which we had paid the privilege for parking there. I let front desk know about the parkade. Not enough light in room. When lights are on still seems underlit. Cost of parking when it was the shoulder period and so many spaces vacant. tub didn't drain properly toilet was broken. Water kept running. I never know if renting a two or three bedroom suite would be better than several rooms because they don´t sepecify about the amount of bathrooms. When I travel with big boys I need at least two complete bathrooms!. room air quality. Not enough amenities. The room is too small. Total lack of wi-fi throughout stay in hotel room. Not acceptable in today's modern hotels. shallow bathtub :(. was charged extra for services I didn't use. Parking should be included in the the price of a room. I recognize your Eco-friendly approach but. I was upset to learn that Prius and other hybrid cars are free to park. As of yet they have no way of recycling batteries and all the chemicals inside them required for these types of cars. Due to their impact on the environment they should pay like everyone else, or no one should pay. A better grasp of enviro entail policy is need Ed in this area. The Old Spaghetti Factory. Although I didn't eat there, I am from Vancouver and it's really bush league here. So I assume it's the same. Why would such a nice hotel have such a budget restaurant attached? Mind you, it was packed with a lineup, so maybe my predisposed notions about the place are short sighted... The bar beside it had an amazing singer keeping us entertained all night. A definite need to upgrade mattresses of pull out beds . Very poor . It was extremely noisy from external noise, not only on the weekends but all week nights. In my opinion, the closeness of the property to the gondola doesn't compensate for the noise and inability to sleep as I have stayed at other properties nearby with less noise. Few mis steps - door key didn't work 3 times on arrival. It meant a return to the front desk with luggage 3 times. iron didn't work, cleaning needed touch ups, parking was good but confusing to locate a working elevator. Rooms too small,small window over looking loading bays,maybe ok 10yrs ago but not now,think hotels are too big to look after that goes for many hotels /lodges in Canada all need a good bit of TLC. Weird hotel layout, difficult to navigate. Noisy rooms. Neighbors were loud. One of the employees was incredibly impolite. the location was good. the beds were comfortable.
