i arrived late at night after a long flight from Europe and my luggage was delayed. The airline found it and promised to send it the next day. Two days later it still hadn't arrived and I was going elsewhere for a few days before returning to TGIB&B. The staff were exceptional, they chased the airline in my absence and then took delivery after 11:00pm, even though they had to stay awake to do it. Stay there and it's very well located. Don't be put off by the neighbourhood and the disad.
all reviews » The Inn was warm and welcoming, with a historic charm. The 3rd floor room was beautiful, unique, and cozy. Noise from other guests did not travel easily, which I appreciated. The Inn Keeper was quiet but kind and thoughtful. The location was just east of downtown, a little off-the-beaten-path, which I enjoyed. The street was lined with beautiful homes. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I would be happy to return. Close enough to the city to walk everywhere if you wanted to, good public transport if not but despite proximity to city, very quiet street. Had a very relaxed feel and I liked it enough to go back when I returned to Toronto. Great breakfast, lovely cosy rooms. Helpful host!. The Garden Inn has character and charm. It's clean, welcoming, friendly, quiet, and is in an excellent location, perfect for exploring Toronto with great transport links to anywhere in the city. Bryan was an excellent host, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Lovely, comfortable, clean & friendly. Bryan was really nice, helpful & polite. The buffet breakfast was fantastic -the best so far!!!!!! A perfect place to stay at a very reasonable rate. - The bed was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in... I would definitely like to know where the owner buys his linens!! - I was very late for check-in but the owner is very well organized! :). the hotel is very clean and the host is very kind and friendly and gives me a lot of help.the price of the hotel in downtown is very cheap. a tourist from china. Sweet B&B, well run, clean and pleasant, period details, cost-effective, in an area convenient to downtown. I did feel a little uncomfortable having to use the downstairs bathroom when guests were sitting at the kitchen table right outside the door. I understand this is just the configuration of the house . The bathroom's were shared, and it was pretty crowded in the morning. I had to share the washroom. The area is the negative, it's next to a crack head and mental home, lots of dodgy people walking around!. I thought there would be more of a breakfast and I thought it would be prepared. We met the owner once for 10 minutes. Not very well explained in the review on letsbookhotel.com I don't think is explains that it's a shared bathroom. Took me off guard!. The proprietor was aloof, bordering on rudeness. The furnishings were inadequate; there wasn't even a chair to use. For a place that cost almost as much as a good hotel, it was decidedly less comfortable—and even less personal. I certainly would not stay again. The breakfast was cold. The maid did not clean the room one night, the elevator was broken and I got stuck inside, we had to take the stairs our entire stay. We were surrounded by excessively loud neighbors. It is not clear to me how this place have 4 star in letsbookhotel.com. - Location (seedy neighbourhood) - Uncomfortable Bed - Shared bathroom is unsatisfactory - Noisy (creaking floors) - Too expensive for.
