The gentleman who checked us in was the owner. We checked in around 11:30 pm after attending the Earth, Wind & Fire concert ... although it was late, he was quite friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean, had cable (flat screen) TV, toiletries, a microwave, a small fridge and even a small coffee maker. There was no problem with water pressure in the bathroom and the hot water didnt run out even though we took a shower close to check out time! We unfortunately left our Amex credit.
all reviews » We needed an overnight for an early doctor appt. and this place more than fit the bill. Bed was comfortable, clean, and room was pleasant and the right temperature. We were not expecting much for the price but were pleasantly surprized. Do not let appearances keep you away. The location was excellent and it fit the needs for our situation. The bed was very comfortable, room very clean, staff very friendly, and easy to find. We arrived late and left early but everyting was fine. A grocery store was close by which suited us well because we were on the way to an outdoor event and bought some prepared food to take with us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was dated but it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the price was very reasonable and the restaurant next door had good food. There was a mini fridge, microwave and a nice TV so it really had everything we needed for a great price. It was very clean & cozy, the bed was so comfortable and the pillows were perfect, not flat like most hotels. It was well equiped(frig&microwave,coffee maker & hair blower). Also a nice flat screen on the wall. Located near orillia hospital for a very early morning appointment. Price was right and the bed was comfortable and clean. Great breakfast right next door at Rombos and chinese food at nearby was also excellent. Staff/owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Beds were very comfortable and room was cozy. Restaurant next door (Rambos) has a great breakfast and the best pizza I've had in years. A lovely little gem. Clean and comfortable, quaint and friendly. No complaints. Not the newest place, but you get what you pay for, we got our money's worth. Silly thing, but room had no Kleenex or other nose tissue. Rooms are small, but work well for a short stay. Extra fee for jacuzzi. Room was a bit stale. Open windows solved that. absolutely no dislikes. A bit small. There were no "amenities", but hey, this is a budget Motel with clean sheets, a fridge and a TV. Shower was clean and [eventually] usable, but not great. Nothing to complain!. all good. Booked a Queen room, when I arrived I was told they had overbooked, and had to take a Double room instead. Was told the room contained two Queen beds, which was a lie, as they were clearly double beds. Very disappointed, as having a queen bed was a priority in our booking.
