Some rooms also include a sitting area, a balcony and / or a fireplace, plus a portion of rooms are equipped with full kitchen facilities. Each room features a private bathroom with a bathtub or shower, complimentary locally made toiletries and a hairdryer. Conference space with AV equipment is available, and can cater for up to 50 guests. There is also a catering kitchen next to the conference space designed to service events.

Friendly service, the manager is helpful and gives good tips on the region. The hostel is clean, the kitchen is huge and very well-equipped. A couple of little attentions are really appreciated, especially in a hostel (free Kraft dinners are available to accommodate guests arriving late, soap and shampoo in the bathrooms…). Good location, upgraded kitchen facilities, ensuite bathrooms. Upgraded sleeping rooms. Games room and TV lounge upstairs, bookshelf!! all reviews » Right in the heart of Canmore- could walk into the centre in a couple of minutes. Stunning views from every window. Helpful staff and friendly guests. I liked the location, the price and the comfort of the hostel. The fact they are family oriented was great so my kids came to hang out. Friendly staff; accommodating when the shower curtain needed to be hung; relatively quiet guests. The place and the view and the price very affordable and friendly employee. Mattresses were too soft and curved for us. It's proximity to the railway - interrupts sleep. But then you can put up with that. What can you do about those trains?! Rather dusty floors under and around beds; perhaps a more thoroughly cleaning around windows. It was very hot and A/C is not working. - the train across the parking lot (it took a little to get used to it). Train is a bit loud but it isn't that bad. Blankets are realy bad condtion. - Trains passing by at all hours of the night. Very concerned about safety issues:...Smoke Detector had been removed, also, ground floor window would not close properly, unable to lock. Too noisy from the guest, the rule is very weak. Staffs mess thing up since we check in. Kitchen is big but dirty and lack of basic food ingredients that every hostel has. Too noisy, fridge was very messy and I really didn't want to put food in there. I agree that there should be bug screens on the windows. Loud music played far too long after the posted quiet time. Parking is designed for small cars. The bedroom was just awful and way to hot. The "private room" was really expensive and the beds not even made... Waste of money.
