We really liked the room. It was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. My spouse forgot his room key and the reception did their job by not letting him get to the room until verifying that he was a guest. It was inconvenient for him but on the other hand it made me feel safe to know that the hotel staff follows policy. I felt that the International provides good value for the money. Thank you for a very pleasant stay in your city.
all reviews » - love the "women's only" floor. Extra added feature and security. Worth the upgrade!! - room is very spacious and relaxing - complimentary breakfast that was offered while the kitchen was unavailable due to the Alberta flood renovations. I loved the fact that unless I mistaken every room is a suite. I felt right at home here. It is 5 blocks from the Calgary Tower the location doesn't get any better than this. Conveniently located in the downtown core, friendly staff, spacious room, great amenities. Overall, a very pleasant experience with absolutely no hassle. I was upgraded to the orchid floor, it was a nice touch to a long day. The ladies only floor had some fantastic perks at the end of a tiring day. The suite was beautiful. Elevator wait-times were fine while we were there, on a weekend. Location is fantastic. Spacious, downtown, I am happy to have a discount rate. Would not consider value for the normal price asked. The bed was extremely comftorable!! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful:). Nice, central location in the business district. Directly connected to the +15 walkways. The restaurant was under construction and was not available at the time. I hope that the bar will also be renovated in good time. - nothing I can think of. Everything I needed I was completely take care of. Like any other big city parking is always a problem and more so when you are driving a pick-up truck. The daily parking fee (although understandable), the continental breakfast could be slightly improved. Staff was very unprofessional. Elevator noise was borderline on problematic, but OK. Toilet needed to be jiggled. Kitchen did not come with bowls or utensils other than a couple coffee spoons. The fitness facility is small outdated. Spend some bucks and bring it into the 21st century. I did no consider the booking clerks overtly friendly. The room service was extremely expensive and not enough selection for appetizers, would have liked to have seen nachos or potato skins or something to munch on other than a sandwich or a main course. Advertises room service but does not has one at current. Also the restaurant is still only available for breakfast. The bathroom was very small. The pool was not esthetically friendly (looked dingy). parking fees not mentioned during booking process. Parking situation. On site parking is very expensive. Overnight parking available on street after 6pm for free. Pool and fitness center was shut down for maintenance, but they are up grading it due to the flooding so should be better than what it was. Nothing. There was some construction works going on. Not enough light in the bathroom. Lost my reservation, gave someone else key to my room so had 1:30 am had visitor trying to get in my door. Key cards kept breaking. Parking charges is overpriced. The bath tub was dirty, so I didn't end up using it!. Price for parking. Freezing weather outdoor PARKING. No pool/gym. Both due to flood! Otherwise excellent & would stay again!. Spa and swimming pool were closed for renovation. The facility of the spa and the pool was my mojor interest of staying in this hotel. Price didnt reflect this. Hair dryers would die before I finished blow drying my har. Taps were mislabeled (hot & cold). Sometimes it took forever to get hot water. The toilet took forever to fill and it was loud. I couldn't use the shower or the sink until the toilet was done filling. I also didn't like that the parking was in an Impark lot next door. I paid for parking with my room, yet still got an Impark Parking Ticket. That during the flood crisis they didn't alert the guests the night before that they were in a possible evacuation state. I woke up to a note under my door and said be on evacuation standby and to leave via the Plus 15's but there was no time frame etc. and I had no idea how long I would have before I had to evacuate. Once the power went out i had to pack my bags down 18 flights of stairs. Staff. They simply are not trained and/or mature enough. Asked for concierage directions to the YMCA, as hotel facilities are still not restored from the flood and he did not know. I asked the frnt desk and they gave me wrong directions. When I came back to tell them whatv happened the 3 ladies behind the desk found it funny.....i didn't. Ice machine on floor did not work, room lacked tools in the living/refreshment area (Hotel staff was not very helpful), we felt for 309$ a night and the parking for around 90$ we should have received substantially more luxury. I would not recommend this hotel - sorry. Air conditioner worked poorly, facility was under repairs and construction. Toilet broken, light bulb not working. The price of the rooms are not at all worth what the room was. Very disappointed!!!!. How expensive it was to park, that there isn't free wifi since most hotels offer that, and how expensive the movie selection is. Higher than usual costs. Getting checked into the wrong room, being told we would have to vacate the room. Then front desk checked in another guest into our room without us turning our keys back in. Having to tell other guest to go back down to front desk, where it wasn't sorted out. Then returning to room later that day to find out our keys had been inactivated. Poor. Very slow Internet with frequent drop outs. Didn't like the dirty windows that took my view from my room,not knowing about the hot tub not working after we shopped for a bathing suit and the waiting times for the cab. Hotel and room decor was outdated. Customer service was OK, but not acceptional concidering the cost of the room. In room dining was very expensive and not a very extensive menu. No free wireless.
