  The staff were really friendly and helpful. The design of the hotel was modern and arty. It was quite well located, only 10 minutes walk from the museum area/ Palais Real. The rooms were clean and comfortable- Breakfast was nice; there were plenty of cereals, bread, croissants and meat/cheese. It is located one street back from a main road and within reasonable walking distance to the main square. There are loads of restaurants very close to the hotel for all budgets including cheap healthy food alternatives which was nice for a change.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and there were thoughtful special offers, such as the possibility to check out at 5 on a sunday, and have the breakfast buffet as late as 12.00 on sunday: there was also possibility to select one's favourite type of pillow! which i thought was simply wonderful.... what people say » The beds were very comfortable. - Great location on the square within walking distance of many points of interest. I intend to stay at the Grand Sablon whenever I happen to be in Brussels. A huge plus was the weekend special, which made it very affordable. Comfortable, spotless, staff very accommodating.   We stayed in the one bedroom unit with our two young children. The room was large with a small but functional, fully equipped kitchen. The children slept comfortably on a pullout couch which converted into two twin beds. The bedroom had two single beds which, unfortunately, were quite firm and uncomfortable. Very friendly and helpfull staff. For a stay longer than 4 nights they don't clean the room (unless you ask and pay for it) but

  There was nothing that we disliked about the hotel. Personally we prefer to be "off the beaten track" which this hotel was. It was just oustide the city centre but on the tour bus route. The neighborhood was interesting, quiet, unthreatening, and convenient to Brussels attractions.
