The employees and the owner are exceptionally nice people. My wife and I sat at the little wine bar one evening and had several glasses of wine and a nice conversation with the owner. Breakfast food is good and the coffee is great. The rooms are very comfortable, the linens are nice and the rooms are spotlessly clean. We would definitely recommend this B&B to others visiting Brussels.
all reviews » We had room 8 and it was very roomy - bedroom, sitting room and a large, remodeled bathroom downstairs (spiral staircase). The bed was very comfortable. There was antique furniture in the place and modern fixtures. Interesting and charming. Breakfast was good and the host was very talkative and friendly. Easy access to the Grand Place, Mannequin Pis and all the shopping. Everything was absolutely fabulous. I was astonished with the excellent level this accommodation has. It is extremely good value for money. I was concerned, being a solo female traveller, about reading some feedback that it was unsafe. This is absolutely not true. I felt very safe and not once was there an instance where I felt uncomfortable. Internet was super too. Loved so much the care Giuseppe, the guy who manages the B&B, had with us, both in welcoming us and in the leading us to the nicest things to do in just 2 days. The structure is 100mts to the Grand Place, our room was very comfortable (you may even cook...) and clean and breakfast was really satisfying. And all of this for less than 40€/day. Excellent!. Bed, mattress, bedclothes are really nice. You sleep really well there. Fast Internet (enough fast for VoIP, for example) - available everywhere within B&B. Very convenient location (close both to the Central station and main city attractions). Kitchen (incl tea/coffee making facilities) available anytime. Very friendly (non-formal) atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was charming and cozy, with modern amenities but with rustic, historic-feeling accents, and the location couldn't have been better -- a quiet side street, but just a couple of minutes' walk to the central square. The beds were amazing! They were those memory foam types. The owner was so wonderful and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a fantastic selection. It was the best b&b my husband and I stayed in all week. I would definitely recommend this place!. The staff was absolutely wonderfull and very nice! The shop where you can get the key is cute and even more important the wines and the food is delicious. It was a very romantic and relaxed stay. Thank you Les Clarisses!. Great location within easy reach of Gare Du Midi for Eurostar and a couple of minutes walk from the Grand Place. Everything you could want near by bars, reastaurants, shops and sightseeing. Friendly staff clean room grande square was literally just around the corner 3 min walk lots of beautiful architecture and places to eat and drink. Plenty to see and do. Would def go back!. If you have a meeting at 9.00 somewhere not right in the middle of the center (which can be the case if your are in Brussels for bussiness ...), you can forget about breakfast. Bit disappointing that they did not offer to reduce the room rate for not having had the possibility to consume breakfast, for which I paid ... No credit card payments - cash only. Just a little thing: water in the shower could be hotter. the room was a bit small but there were different rooms with diffrent prices. Noise from upstairs until late at night (including water in pipes every time water was used upstairs). Curtains did not completely black out room. The room was a bit small. Nothing to complain. The stairs... The room was very small and lots of noise from the other rooms. No shampoo though we asked for it. The blackout curtain was broken,so it was impossible to close it. Nice hotel but there are managerial problems. Lock frontdoor difficult to use. Old house with bad isolation of the other rooms. Sober breakfast. small room.
