Considering the price and style of hotel, it's a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and we only shared our bathroom with one other person (there seems to be only two or three rooms per floor). The location is very close to the North train station, and the walk to the city center is easy and enjoyable. Would definitely stay there again, unless I had a larger budget.

Bathroom outside the room. there's leaking in the toilet. no lift available but the owner helped me with the lugguage. hotel was a bit noisy, and toilets obviously outside of the rooms. The staff hours were to short.The shower room had no sink. check in hours. There is no lift. The tv doesn't work. too many people sharing the bathroom. Stairs were a little steep.Check in times finish quite early at 17.30. it is not a dangerous area (I think)but you must pay attention in the night...Not really a place for young travellers, and the Van Gogh hostel is just down the street so I would personally do that next time. But if you're specifically looking for a quiet hotel, this one is great. the location - it is a bit of a walk from metro abt 10-15 mins. Noise from slamming doors, sloping bed. There were no maps or anz commercial brochures,but stuff was very helpfull and gave advise on where to go and how to get places.Heating system in my room had a fault. The room didn't have the bathroom in the room so you had to go outside and share, but it worked increadible well, and I guess I didn't read about the hotel carefully, so my bet. The shower leaked out when showering, you had to be careful so you didn't have to step in deep water the rest of the day.Some rooms doesn't have WC. The area around the "Gare du Nord" train station are not very good. The bedroom had a strange smell of "vinager", but it was clean.There's a reason for it being cheap, if you just want a place to sleepit's ok, if you want any facilities then this isn't the place for you. No garbage cans! Also, bathrooms were tiny. No reading lamp at the bed. More light in the rooms. satellite TV difficult to use.
