It was small enough to be cosy and welcoming but not too small. It was in an old town house just outside of the centre, so it was a lovely walk down a quiet cobbled street to the cathedral. It was nice to be out of the action because it was very busy in town, but wehad no traffic and it felt very peacful. The owners were fabulous, really looked after us, and the breakfast was great too. The best thing about staying in this hotel is comfort and wonderful atmosphere created by the family, which runs this hotel. Plus excellent location, quiet place and nice breakfast. I left hotel with strong desire to return to this town and this hotel :).

When our taxi failed to arrive, and we faced missing our train and connexction to Eurostar, she grabbed our bags, piled them and us into her own car, and rushed us to the station herself. We have never experienced such friendliness from a hotel.The people who run this hotel could not have been nicer or more helpful in assisting us in dealing with a travel emergency. They allowed us use of their internet and phone to make necessary communications to get things squared away. It took us an hour to find the hotel once in the centre of Brugge.There were no drawers or shelves in the bedroom, just hanging space. The hip-bath/shower was difficult to climb in and out of. No extractor fan in v small bathroom, so mirror stayed steamed and towels stayed damp. Also, shower temperature fluctuated if someone in another room turned on their taps - which made for an exciting shower, and the door creaked - little things really, but the fan would be a huge improvement.There was a bit of noise from outside on the Saturday night, due to being next to a Hostel.No milk provided with tea-making facilities.Cooked breakfast selection limited to a boiled egg only. Room was a bit small. There was no airconditioning and room was too warm. Leaving window open meant that mosquitoes came in. I wish hotel would have an elevator and refrigerator in the room.
