We were made very welcome and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would certainly use this hotel again. Nice clean very comfortable room in a quaint town of Bad Ischl which isa few hour train or bus ride from the city of Saltzburg. Breakfast decent although not outstanding. Confortable room. Had elevator. The wellnes was excellent!. Location. The people were very friendly. From the photo's we had seen we thought we were going to stay in a castle-like place right on a lake ! which is very misleading. And confusing forsomeone actually thinking they are going to stay in the city ofSaltzburg !. The Hotel Spa was out of use as they're having a swimming pool built and we did not know that at the time of booking - probably would have booked into a different hotel.Carpets need to be changed. Front entrance hard to find. Was facing a very narrow street. This was also where the parking was--parallel to bldg. One way street. Was stuck behind large laundry truck for 1/2 hr upon leaving.Not enough parking place, only in the public parking, which is not soo far from hotel, but couldnot have right info about parking possibilities. Rooms outdated and need remodeling. The spa was shut due to refurbishment which we werent told about. Avoucher towards a local establishment would have been a nice jesture.
