  I travelled to Townsville with my 96 year old mother who is not very mobile. It was a big advantage to get room service. The meals were not expensive and were very good. I've stayed in other accommodation where the rooms were close to the lifts. The noise from the lifts interrupted my sleep. Again, my mother and I were close to the lifts at Ibis T... what people say » ownsville, however, the lifts here were extremely quiet, in fact, noiseless. Access by motor vehicle is easy and Hotel carpark a huge asset. I was ver - 1. Proximity to central Townsville and transport. 2. The high level of Customer Care provided by hotel staff. 3. Cleanliness of the hotel and room. 4. Easy access off street parking included in room rates. 5. The quality, cost and selection of meals.

  Didn't know the Ridgemont existed until I found while searching on line, a little secluded but close to most things around the city. My wife and I had an upper level room for 2 nights, brilliant view, great to sit on balcony looking out over Strand and Maggie Island. Good value. Requested 6 meals, 2 x 3 types,(on a night meals not usually served)... what people say » and was very pleased with service, quality and quantity. Great view from dining area. Didn't get around to utilising the pool, spa or BBQ are but the - Proximity to The Strand, a credit to Townsville Council. Room was clean and neat. TV needs replacing soon, screen pixelating continually. Reception staff (owners ?) were very helpful with directions.
