  The staff was awesome. The reception staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, all so friendly. It was clean, and the hotel is near the station, and very close to the famous Chapel Street (Restaurants/Shopping) Very good value for money, and the room was comfortable. I would surely go to the Claremont next time I am on holidays around Melbourne. I do ... what people say » recommend it to students/backpakers/travellers/couples and anybody who is looking for a very 'good value for money' hotel, cheap, and (close to town). - It is not a luxury hotel and is at the lower end of the price scale, but it is excellent for what it was. The place was kept immaculately clean and the staff were assiduous and very helpful. They were extremely good in serving breakfast, which was another bonus, and the front desk team were very friendly and accommodating. I thought this hotel superb value. It is right beside South Yarra Metro station, which has very frequent service 6 minute to and from the central part of Melbourne.

  So close to Southern Cross Station for early morning departure on Overland train next day. Close to Convention Centre only a couple of stops away on the tram for attending a conference. I was still able to have free breakfast in the morning even though I was ready to check out before 7am when breakfast normally starts.   Liked the way when we walked in we were shown where everything was . We got free shots . The staff were really friendly and bubbly . Great atmosphere at night with excellent offers . - Loved the price. The entertainment in the bar at night. The choice of what type of room you wanted.

  Very Clean, Great shower, Heater, Comfortable, Staff organised a very inexpensive shuttle bus which was fantastic and relieved alot of pressure - It was a nice cosy room and for the price we paid we can't complain about anything

  The location is perfect, close to everything thanks to Flinders Station and the tram, but you can just walk as well. The bathrooms are clean, and the kitchen as clean as it can be in a backpacker.   The previous manager seemed to have been a complete nutter judging by comments on some sites, but the current manager, Graham, is a quiet yet friendly and professional guy. It is a pretty convenient location, spacious, clean, relaxed, and quiet - in tune with the beautiful little town Bendigo. I would definitely stay there again.   The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a $6 menu for guests and also discounted drinks in the lovely bar downstairs. Free breakfast!! Room and showers were clean. Would recommend here for anybody - They were very cool with us. We got a couple/twin room and everything was good. I recommend!

  We had a great time here and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are really big and clean with an armchair, dressing table, fridge and microwave. It was pretty cold while we were there so appreciated the numerous super thick blankets on the bed! The manager was so nice and helped us out a lot, which we really appreciated; he couldn't of done much m... what people say » ore for us! We ended up with money off vouchers and great advice as to where to go in Melbourne. The building is lovely and has an old charm to it. In - I have stayed at the Oslo several times on business and have always found it to be comfortable and very affordable. It is close to good restaurants and shops.
