Staff were friendly. Loved the location, walk from train station, shops were all around us and it was very convenient, worked out cheaper I didn't have to hire a car to drive to Orange like previous times 'cos it was just in a walking distance from everything. Thank you for the experience. Fantastic service by reception staff in organising another room after the room I was booked into was found not to have been cleaned and made up from the last guest. Room and bed was very comfortable. Charge-back for local restaurant and hotel.
all reviews » Location and price breakfast deal with Royal Hotel The fact that the accommodation wasn't pre-paid- credit card details used to make booking but being able to pay by eftpos on arrival. The room, though small, was very well appointed, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great and so were the lovely white fluffy towels. Great position to the main shops. Was close to our venue.liked the security lighting in the car park for the cars at night. We have booked in again for September for another venue. Room was comfortable and clean. We where visiting Orange for a sporting event with most of the team staying at the hotel, easy to find, great service from the staff, rooms nice and clean. Friendly receptionist who made me feel at home. The restaurant is in the same complex and I could charge it back to my room if I desired. Efficient friendly staff Short walk to main street and all the shops. Basic facilities so you are not paying for things you don't need. New owners are very helpful. The room was adequate for a quick overnight stay. Nice and warm as it was a chilli night in the country. Excellent service very comfortable with great access to town and all amenities. Did not like the continental breakfast, (tinned orange juice just does not cut it) everything was very basic and not very well stocked. The green colour paint around the garden beds near the motel units need to be painted white as it is a little dangerous in the night can't be seen and easily tripped over.The light outside our motel unit wasn't working globe must have blown. Nothing to complain about. Air conditioner could be updated as I like to leave it on the temp I like and it won't disturb me whilst I sleep. Everything was fine considering it is an older motel (late 50s I believe). A microwave would be handy . toaster in room but no plates or knives!!!!!. The mattress was very Uncomfortable. the double bed rolled into the middle. Plumbing needed attention Booking was mixed up. motel room a bit out dated, bath room needs a bit of work. nil to comment on. The facilities were a bit tired, but acceptable. Hotel needed a bit of a TLC. Room and Bathroom was a little cramped. nothing.... Noisy Dated. air conditioning was very old and rooms good for one. upgrade wasn't made. not enough car spaces people smoking out side the rooms. Taps needed new washers over the hand basin and water from tap was splashing from basin. Outlet was not located in the correct position. Over 40 rooms, less than 30 carparks . . . good luck getting a carpark. Thin walls. There was not enough parking. After arriving back from function we went to we had to park out on the street which was near a club and hotel. We were accosted by people who were drunk when we got out of our car. Luckily police were patrolling at the time. The room was very small and the double bed was located against the wall so that it was difficult to get out of the bed. Room was very dated. maybe in line with a 2.5 star accommodation and pricing should be more in line with that. Poor hot water service. continually had to adjust while showering. It was very basic, bed was quite uncomfortable and wardrobe space was extremely poor. Coats had to hang on the back of chairs. Restaurant was only Indian, even though the sign said Australian and Indian meals. Basic, small and rather tired room. Hard to park near our room despite getting there fairly early. The Hot water takes forever to come through then runs either boiling hot or cold.The taps are on back to front. the pillows were way too soft. Room could do with a reno, noise in the early mornings. Very small room. Just OK for one night. Very bright light outside room and thin curtains. Light was turned off late at night. We were not allocated to the room that we booked. We paid extra for a studio room that had more room but we were given a very small twin budget room. This was unsatisfactory.l. Room a little dated. The room was overly small and stuffy not enough windows or air in there. The price was not good for the quality of the accomodation :(. Could do with an update. A bit on the cold side, even with a/c set to 24 Deg only just warm enough. Very small room. very small telly.
