I had the best hotel experience ever at the Royce. From the grand foyer to the friendly but efficient staff to the beautifully clean and well appointed room, free internet in the foyer - I could go on and on... The staff were lovely. When checking into the hotel my room got upgraded to one of the best suites in the hotel. Very bright and clean. Was a very nice experience. The style & size of the rooms are beautiful! The location is great. The in-room service was affordable. The restaurant very nice.

It seems nit picky to mention it but I'm a bit technology-challenged so a facilities manual would have saved me from bothering the staff for instructions. From the street it does not look like a clean hotel. Sorry!!. Hot tub did not work. The hotel is located in a pretty quiet area so you need to travel to get to decent shopping, dining and entertainment areas. Also, I cannot understand why 5 star hotels do not offer guests free wifi in 2013. Water pressure. Our room was right next to the ballroom/ function room noise level was not ideal. Room service got lost, but this was an exception. No issues. Having to pay for Wi Fi and parking room costs high enough. The smell on Level 3 outside unit 306. The person checking the mini bar wanting to enter my room just when I wanted no-one there. The scrap the valet put on my car when parking. Room next to what sounded like a storage room with the constant door noise. 1) High Tariff (room rate) 2) Complimentary Breakfast not available. I left some paper work in the room,contacted reception who said would return it to us at a cost COD this would cost us about $8.00when it would have cost the hotel $1.80 plus an envelope disappointed in that response. No bathrobes. It's dirty - the corridor carpets were stained and dirty, the room carpets are very dark but I had a similar impression, the floors, the bathroom etc. The bathroom reminded me of somewhere much cheaper - it's made of that moulded plasticky aggregate stuff you find in E.G. Ibis hotels and similar. The shampoo tube had been emptied by a prior guest and not replaced. The aircon in the room was noisy. Not the fault of the hotel, but the area is pay parking from 7:30am. Air con not effective. The room we stayed in was very average compared to our last stay there. staff at reception and cussions. Bad smell in the first room, moved to a new room with additional charge. To fellow giuests, ensure you get the newly renovated rooms. Standard has become very old and tired and in need of renovation. Paintwork is chipped in doorways and extremely worn in restaurant. We would not stay again while in this state. ugly bathroom。unclean bed linen，bad smell。I requested to cancel this booking with reception . Refused. I spoke to manager,he change another for me.Much much better.
