Booked a suite which on arrival looked very nice, really spacious, plenty of room for family of 3 however all suites have adjoining doors to the next room and whoever was next door decided to cook a very strong curry which came wafting through the door. Staff were really helpful and upgraded us to 2 bed apartment; really lovely people and room was amazing. Fab location too; away from the hustle and bustle from CBD but only short tram ride or 10 min walk away if you want to go in for a meal. .
all reviews » Comfy 1 bedroom apartments. Great to have large bed with 2 mattresses joined so that one does not interrupt others sleep. Lounge spacious. Pool/gym was adequate. Great breakfast deal. Wonder staff at breakfast. Staff helpful at front desk. The room was very comfortable, with a nice big bathtub and plenty of bath accessories. Lighting was good with dimmer switches. Everywhere was very clean. The balcony overlooking the botanic gardens and shrine of remembrance was terrific!. All of the amenities in the room: tea bags, kitchenette, laundry, lounge suite.It was across from the tram line which took us into the city. Excellent value for money in very clean premises.The staff were friendly and courteous. One bedroom room in plaza was quiet, large, very clean room with nice big windows, a bathtub, comfortable bed and a Television in bedroom as well. Tram stop right out front. 24 hour reception. Nice position opposite park. Location was perfect for the Grand Prix and for a leisurely walk to the CBD. The size of the one bed apartment was excellent. The location only 25 minute walk from city centre was excellent. For those not want ing to walk there is a tram stop opposite the apartments. Grand Pix and Trams were well organised and made the whole experience enjoyable - Everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful and we would certainly recommend a visit to this city. I loved the free bottle of bubbly on arrival, was a great way to start my birthday and our anniversary weekend. I also loved the little restaurant down stairs, it was fabulous. The bed was a little hard for my choice, but that's personal. It didn't worry me at all but the only possible negatives others may find is the noise of traffic and trams going by and the decor is outdated. Kitchenette lacked basic cooking equipment like fry pan. Shower screen on bathtub and position of tap over bathtub made it awkward. No free wifi...for the cost of the accommodation, wifi should be free. Its only minor, but The shower! The shower head couldn't be adjusted!. could have provided better lighting over the bathroom mirror or installed self ullimination LED make-up / shaving mirror. Provided Fox footy 4 on the TV. having to pay for parking. The shower in the bathroom wasn't very powerful. I had two concerns - that in the bathroom the wall next to the toilet roll dispenser was cracked and had been re plastered, but re-cracked when we replaced the roll. - Also that they advertised foxtel tv and the only foxtel was 3 sports channels and 1 news channel. So for the first night that we were there and it was raining in the city there was no movies for us to chill out to watch. Small balconies, shower. Not much, was pretty good. Greetings by staff at desk could have been friendlier. Bathroom fixtures need updating very tired looking and worn. Other hotels are starting to stock mini bar with free fruit & breakfast munchies....something different tht has wowed alot of customers..you should think of offering the same and get some rave reviews from happy clients. All fine. nothing to dislike. Not enough light in bathroom Fixtures and fittings getting dated but still acceptable for price. Cleanliness was poor in the bathrooms. skirting tiles and toilet roll holder and the back of the bathroom door were in need of a solid clean. Water pressure in shower, aircon did not work properly in room, aircon control panel worn out (temp cpntrol buttons), bathroom fittings etc looked tired. $20 for parking. Please offer this as a free service, it would be a desirable addition to the specification. Paying $10.00 for Wifi. Any respectable hotel should not be charging a cent for this service, particularly if you want to attract business travelers!. The lounge chairs in the room were extremely uncomfortable to the point of us both having very sore backs after sitting for a short while. With cooking facilities, probably needed a stronger exhaust fan. The bedding was a bit outdated and heavy. Blankets aren't very cosy anymore. The room was not well cleaned especially the bathroom.

Please note that this property requires a refundable AUD 100 per room credit card pre-authorisation upon check in to cover any incidental charges.
