I love the warm welcome to a spotless room in a sensitively renovated old fashioned pub. Great location close to Melbourne University and the city area but set in a leafy inner suburb full of places to walk. The downstairs dining area and nearby cafés are a bonus.

The food in the bar was very good, reasonably priced and the wait staff were very nice. The location was perfect - directly across from our family wedding venue.

They don't do breakfast, but Lygon Street is ten minutes walk away if you have the legs and the time.
You need to have actual proper cups and saucers rather than paper cups that are too hot to pick up. Also glasses rather than using paper cups.
The constant static on some of the television channels was annoying. Being closed for all of Easter was not very conducive to having a drink etc.
Small room ok for one person.
The noise outside was an issue. Maybe heavy drapes may muffle the noise a little.
The wall/ adjoining door to next apartment is pretty thin so TV noise is a nuisance. And yes, street parking can be a problem.

1.Arrived at hotel at 11:30pm, entrance and receiption dark closed,
nobody could be of help until serveral calls.
2.No lift, especially hard if you bring large lugages.
3.Very noisy for the whole night in the room at street side.
4.A picture frame on the wall suddenly drop off and hit my kid on bed because of its careless installation.
