Room was comfortable and clean. Parking availability was a big help and reasonably priced. I will return for my next business trip to Melbourne as the location suited my needs well and my overnight stay was pleasant. I liked all of the staff, the meals we had there were really good and also the location of the hotel. The room was also quite comfortable. Enjoyed the hotel. Fairly convenient to city & Victoria market, as well as Etihad Stadium for football. Trams out the front of hotel, & parking available onsite.

Close proximity to the kids hospital. Comfy room, and very accommodating for a young baby with a nicely made up portacot. Front desk not forthcoming with information or assistance on how to get around. Elevator very small and slow Paying for on-site parking, should be included in room cost. The fridge needed defrosting It took a long time for the room service to arrive. Mattress was uncomfortable, being too soft and not supportive enough. Windows needed cleaning. TV had line running through screen as was there on previous stay 6 months before and a wooshing sound intermittently. Saussage served for bfast was bad. Rooms were tired but comfortable. Nothing. There was no WiFi. The lift door opening before the lift had come to a full stop. Two single beds put together to make a double bed. Interior was a little shabby; needs a little sprucing up. The walls of the room were scuffed and painted in a bland colour and the curtains didn't shut properly. The guest pool was filthy though and not fit for use. The night staff was rude and had a attitude. The location was away from everything in melbourne. No tv reception in either of the 2 rooms we booked. One light in bathroom not working. No powerpoint or hirdryer in bathroom. looked tired bar fridge drinks were frozen and stuck to bottom of shelf on door shower average taps back to front hot and cold. Noisy. Wouldn't rate as value for money. Name confusion - Not signposted as Rydges. Hotel looks as it is half refurbished. The lift was tatty (carpet) and noisy (sounded like something jambing in the works) although it worked. Doors scratched and damaged, windows dirty, not up to claimed star rating. No comment. Parking is not included in price. Need token every time you want to go out. No bowls or cutlery. Cracks in shower, decor needs updating. The noise - you can hear all the doors slam, if anyone walks or talks through the corridors you can hear everything!!. bathroom space very small. room was dirty. The cooked breakfast was a bit stale. There was no lip to the shower floor which meant almost half the floor was 'flooded' with water with no drain. Our room was expensive (for 1 night) but we got an exceptionally large albeit paintchipped and dated room. Dated furniture, Vents of extractors in bathroom very dirty. Air Conditioner ducts dirty when switched on lots of dirt particles. Cobwebs in room. Room was dusty, windows and curtains were stained/very dirty. Bathrrom needed updating. Bathroom not very clean. Tap fell off shower. Water kept going from hot to cold in shower and there was no water pressure. Rooms were too small and the location is ok for access to the city, but not to have a night walk. traffic noise and internal noise, filthy couch, Price too high for what you got. Freezing room, bathroom window and room window would not close, internet service is incredibly expensive but poor! Staff was not friendly and it was most annoying the lobby was being vacuum cleaned between 3 and 4 in the morning. Single mum traveling with 2 young ones and mum with frame but no one helped the noticed at change of reception staff the guy helped women with the hotels large trolley where I was offered to use this little trolley that would not fit in lift. The breakfast buffet was absolutely horrid. The food was all cold thr coffee was also cold. I paid a lot of money for the breakfast. sheets, towels, bathroom clean enough but filthy curtains, grubby carpet and intially dank smell in room like someone had been smoking in there. Breakfast very ordinary, hot water cut in and out in shower. Very overpriced for what it was, and fair way out of city centre. Stained carpet ,holes in shower floor,lack of lighting in room, no exhaust fan in bathroom,cost of parking, no extra blankets. The view and smell of rubbish in the alley.

Travel along the Tullamarine Freeway and take the left turn off to Flemington Road. Travel up Flemington road approx 3 km and turn right into Harker Street. Rydges North Melbourne is situated on your left, directly opposite the Royal Childrens Hospital on the corner of Flemington Road and Harker Street.
