I did not expect much of the hotel, considering previous reviews. But for the price and location, it was excellent. The daily maid service was impeccable and the staff were all very pleasant. The wi-fi worked well and was free though not quite fast enough to take large downloads like movie files well. An excellent value for the money in a very convenient location just 10-15 minutes walk to Union Square at a fraction of the price.

This was my first trip to sf taking my 13 year old granddaughter. The

Big rooms and a great American breakfast that was included in the price.
The hotel is in the neighbourhood Marina, which has great restaurants,
bars and shops within walking distance. It is also well-connected with
buses nearby to downtown and to the Golden Gate bridge.

The personalized service was amazing. Upon our arrival, we wrote it was our first time to the city. The concierge hand wrote a welcome card and included a map with highlighted areas we must see WITH a detailed (again handwritten) explanation of each place corresponding to color print outs of the sites. The Hotel is a bit dated but very clean, I stayed in deluxe king room, paid close to 70 bucks a night, I must say I'm very impress. the room is quiet large with hardwood floor, bed is comfy, place is clean, the building is old but well maintain. Location is good, next door honey honey restaurant serve good food, bus right out the door step

Great designed and very original hotel with some different conceptual work inside. The room area was large enough. I loved the writings on the walls, the towels, and the lightning of the room.Ther e is even ironing table inside the room, very practical. Hotel location is very central. Good and a clean place for the money.
The staff were courteous and it is a simple and an inexpensive place to stay if you want something on a low budget. Walking distance to movies, and great ethnic asian cuisine. -
I liked that is was pet friendly at no extra charge. Once we got the
handicapped room, it was perfect. The beds were comfortable.
