The hotel is beautifully decorated, with excellent facilities. Our room was very comfortable, looked lovely and had doors opening onto a decking/garden area (just a shame it was raining the whole time!) The food and service in the restaurant is exceptional, as is the bar. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Can't

The Spa was wonderful everything was magic

The Hotel is within walking distance of the centre of the town, but far enough out to be quiet. I enjoyed my first stay there so much, Ive revisited 3 years in a row. Although I havent made use of all the facilities, they do have their own laundry, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Ive always found the staff polite, friendly and helpful. -

I was with my daughter and granddaughter who is 17months old. Our room was perfect. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb and included in the price. If you are looking for a boutique type hotel this is not for you, but I would stay here over any boutique hotel. The setting was magnificent. Beautiful grounds and woodland

The hotel was absolutely amazing! So friendly and had a lovely warm welcome and ports of smiles and politeness from all staff. Food was delicious and well presented.
Our room was AMAZING, we had a beautiful view of the sea and the room was kept nice and clean everyday by the wonderful cleaning staff.
We will be staying again with you in the future!

Ample parking.
Brand new state of the art steam room - though the temperature could have been a tad hotter.
Pool was nice and warm, great for kids/familes.
Beautiful seaview rooms (note, you do nto get views with economy doubles).
Tea & coffee making facilities in room.

We only stayed 1 night, We had a superior room and were very pleased as it was very clean and spacious. The separate spacious bathroom with a roll top bath and views down across the sea made this a very enjoyabale stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating too. - Comfortable,relaxed atmosphere, staff helpful and very pleasantenvironment.

I was bowled over by the friendliness and team-spirited nature of ALL of the staff I met - and also by their constant willingness to assist. I originally picked the Hotel California because I liked the name, wanted to stay in Newquay and the price is a good value.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Interiors are beautiful. The dining room had lots of windows, so you can enjoy the scenery while dining. Beautiful view of the bay from the outside deck. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but the temperature was little to cool for me to try it.
If I get a chance to go back to the U.K., I will definitely stay at the Hotel California

This was a spur of the moment choice and was excellent on every level. Lovely everything about this hotel.
Service from staff was fantastic and make you feel like you were in a 5 star hotel. Had pool and hot tub all to ourselves. All rooms have fantastic views. Food in restaurant and breakfast was excellent. could not fault it. Was excellent value for money. Would have paid double and still of been happy.
