Lovely venue to stay, right in the centre of town opposite the old post office, a national trust property well worth a visit. 3 bedroom flat adjacent to pub meant plenty of room for our family, plus it was quiet since it wasn't directly above the pub. Beds were large and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was included and it was fab. We had dinner at the pub as well and it was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night and they worked out a spot for us!

The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable; we also had a great view from our window. We enjoyed perfectly cooked breakfasts from a dining room with a beautiful view over the beach and harbour. The hosts, Brian and Julie were very friendly and welcoming. The hosts were very friendly. Even though we were there at a very busy family time (two daughters birthdays) we were made to feel at home. Wonderful peaceful setting with exceptional country views. Seeing the hatching of the blue tits was an added bonus. Easy access to Padstow and Port Isaac. -

We were made to feel so welcome, the room was excellent and thebreakfast even better. We had no problem useing our card to pay andfound no problem with parking - I travel a lot for work and chellowdene was one of the best guest houses by far friendly, clean and a great breakfast. i found no problem parking

We were going on holiday to St Ives and decided to travel on the Friday night with an overnight stop nearby, instead of Saturday morning to beat the traffic jams. Arrived here to friendly reception at about 11.30pm with drinks brought to room. Rooms were smart, breakfast enjoyable, dining area had outside terrace with views and location was absolutely perfect for our travel plans. Would recommend to anyone doing what we did.

Our room was very clean and whilst not too large it suited us well enough. Lovely bathroom and shower. There was a wide selection of food for breakfast: yoghurt, fresh fruit, preserves, cereals, toast and cooked. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would certainly return. -

Barbara and Stephen were perfect hosts. Barbara shared her wealth of knowledge about this part of Cornwall. The smugglers has 3 rooms all of which are named after local artists they all have separate entrances and are very clean and comfortable the owners of the restaurant were really friendly and helpful food in the restaurant was excellent we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking. From the moment we arrived, we were looked after really well by attentive staff. They took us to our room, carried luggage, explained the wifi and advised about booking a table in the restaurant. The restaurant was lovely, and though we thought we'd eat elsewhere at least once, we ended up eating at the Riverside every single day. The menu is great and varied, and the food is of high quality. Something for everyone.

I was delighted to find that I had a sea view in spite of having a single room - usually single rooms have a dreary view. Our friendly hosts provided clean, well equipped accommodations. From this location you can walk to restaurants, the harbour, town centre and National Maritime Museum. Pendennis Castle is a 5 minute drive away. The breakfast, provided for an additional charge, was excellent.
