At the gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park, this charming Welsh coaching Inn in Llandovery offers a traditional bar and bright rooms. It has free Wi-Fi, and a restaurant serving local produce. Each spacious room at The Castle Hotel has a TV and free tea and coffee facilities. All rooms have a private bathroom, each featuring a hairdryer. The restaurant has rustic oak beams and an open log fire, serving a menu including Welsh Black Beef and Towy River Salmon. The bar stocks Welsh cask ales, and there is a garden and courtyard. Llandovery Rail Station is a 5-minute walk away. Beautiful rural countryside surrounds the town, with fishing and hiking found with just a few miles drive from the Castle.

When we arrived late on Friday night the staff were more than happy to let us head straight into the restauant prior to checking in. As the hotel wasn't busy we were given a free upgrade to an absolutely beautiful room which just made the weekend for us. Breakfast on both days was delicious and the meal on Friday night was excellent and very reasonably priced for the quality provided. I honestly don't have a single complaint about the entire weekend and will happily come back for another visit.
όλα τα σχόλια » We were travelling with our dog and were told that the hotel was pet friendly. We cannot fault the service or friendliness of the staff nor the quality of the hotel's facilities. We ate at the hotel and as everything else the food was of the best quality. The building was a beautiful and character filled gem, each room having its own particular style. Friendly, helpfull staff. Best breakfast we have ever had in any B&B / hotel. Fantastic evening meal. Brilliant place in Brilliant, beautiful area. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing and such great value for money. The building was fantastic and all the fire places in the dining areas and bar made our stay so cozy. Would recommend to anyone. Shall return. Imaginatively-renovated bedrooms(particularly good soundproofing). Food is good too, and reasonably-priced. I liked the fact that the local musum is within the hotel - handy for a wet afternoon. The Castle has a cosy 'oldie-worldie' air to it, which is refreshing nowadays. The staff were most helpful and the food excellent. Its location right in the middle of Llandovery is a bonus too. I stay in a lot of hotels and for value for money,comfort and real ale this is one of the best, I would have no hesitationin staying again and recommending it to friends and family. The town was very picturesque and the Hotel was very convenient, looked great, good parking for my motorcycle and it appeared to be a bit of a biker town - didn't no that. Lovely atmospheric historic building. A nice contrast between the oak beamed, wood panelled public rooms and our recently refurbished modern bedroom. A nice friendly hotel with ample parking and good food. The gift shop in the hotel was good too. The friendly staff. The comfy room. The excellent food. The general ambience. A delighful stay!. Why do I have to search so hard to find a realistic rate, for what it is this should be around £60 a night tops not the £85-95 advertised. n/a. Llandovery. Noisy plumbing!. No fixing for the shower head on the wall (room 4) ,unable to have a shower. not a lot. nothing. would have liked a bath after long day on the saddle . Really bad mechanical noise waking me up during the night several times from outside or above somewhere. Breakfast smoked haddock still frozen in centre. Expensive for very average product. Not good customer service in general.
