Good food, nice atmosphere. plenty of space and very relaxed yet attentive staff. Spacious rooms. Reception was great, food was first class. Hotel is situated in a pleasant part of the country. Close proximity to facilities and pretty villages. Friendly staff. the food was fantastic and the service was generally very good. lovely hotel. The food was good. the lack of an easier entrance from the car park. One blind in our room was faulty. Drawer in cabinet next to our bed needed a wipe out. Bathroom door did not lock and kept bursting open! (None of these things particularly worried us.). Waiter at Dinner was a bit un helpful.Would be nice if they had a mirror in the bedroom for the ladies to apply their make up!. tried to charge me again for room despite prepayment due to clerical error. When proved wrong after much work by myself no apology was made.It was an old building and difficult to modernise but, even so more might be done. I'm not sure what. It was more a pub with bedrooms attached than a hotel.
