We were given the delicious warm cookie to eat while we checked in. We left our luggage and went to do some sightseeing.   Hotel is around 15 minutes walking from London bridge underground and rail station. Two bus stops are within 2 minutes walking distance. Immediatly infront there is a small supermarket and a pizzaria, but nothing else. Two vending machines are availabl - The staff at the front desk were all cheerful, booked our taxis flawlessly, and provided an electrical adapter for only a deposit. Bermondsey Square, just one block south, has a lovely courtyard with two nice restaurants (we tried and enjoyed both), a cinema/bar, and a small grocery (which we also found handy on several occasions during our 6 night stay).   All I can say is wow what an amazing hotel. It was absolutely spotless in every area . The bedroom was not only huge but also very plush indeed and the en-suite was outstanding - you could literally see your reflection in the floor.   It was very handy to the Liverpool Street Station. It had an Iron andBoard in the room and the Bed was Very Comfortable. The Staff were veryfriendly and to my surprise the breakfast was included in the price andit was very nice indeed. I would suggest that for a good standard Hotelthe Chamberline is going to be hard to beat in London. We stayed over a weekend and as the hotel is situated within the City the streets were empty and the surroundings very quite.
