  The owners were wonderful.. We had experienced a travel related problem and the owners were incredibly kind and helpful in helping us resolve all our related problems. They were exceptional. the hotel is delightful, the rooms are small but well equipped and the breakfasts were wonderful.   The location was excellent: quiet, but close to the City. And the free tram card made travel everywhere easy. Basel's tram system is excellent. Tram stops in each direction (3 lines I think) just a short walk away. The little patio was cute, but the weather wasn't such that I could use it. Internet worked perfectly. Bed was comfortable.   My husband and I stayed only one night. The staff spoke English to us, which we appreciated. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We were given excellent instructions to use the tram (our first time on a tram) to get to the old town shopping area. Breakfast is really good and worth paying extra for. Room was spotlessly clean. This hotel is superb value for money, especially given that Switzerland is generally very expensive.
