Excellent place to stay, offering fantastic value for money. Very spacious room with comfortable double bed, extra single bed and a large flatscreen TV. The bathroom was ample size with powerful shower, nice toiletries and the very useful touch of disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste (great as we had forgotten these!) Facilities are very impress

We arrived at midnight and the lady who greeted us at reception was very friendly - Comfort, warm welcome, very clean and very cute decoration. i appreciated the books available to read, the warm in the room...i was there for a concert so it was the perfect hotel and made my stay and weekend in Madrid PERFECT. Jason MRAZ was amazing BTW ^_^THANKS SEE YOU NEXT TIME

El hostal es muy cerca del Palacio, fuimos a ver un concierto y el hostal fue ideal, 5 minutos andando.
el personal genial, muy majos.
The hostal is really close to the Palacio, ideal if you are going to watch a concert as it's only a short walk.
the staff are lovely, very friendly. -
Ideal to visit palacio vistalegre . We would stay there again.

Everything. I was travelling with friends, we were a 9 people group and had a perfect stay at Madrid. Close tho the city center (next to metro station). Just 15 minutes far from the heart of Madrid. It's really great place to stay. Clean spacious rooms, very close to
shops and really nice local restaurants. Hotel is situated on suburbs
area but this is not a disadvantage at all. Next to the hotel in the
neighborhood you can find asian shop with everything you need. I hope I
will back here as soon as it possible:)

It was a great location, very clean, the staff where very helpful, the lift was good to have, there were drinks available to buy at low rates but no other services that are common in hotels. Overall, would stay there again, the value for money was fine for me.

Really nice hotel. Location is exactly what is mentioned in all other reviews. The girls from reception - Maria and Elena -were very hospitable and friendly and both deserve a certain salary increase. Rooms are not much specious but always clean and tidy. The hotel itself is renewed build recently and you can see it at once. I would definetely adv

- rooms with nice new furniture, all very clean

1. Hotel sent me email before we arrived in several days, and would like to confirm the time of check in. It is good!!
2. They supplier us city maps.
3. We booked the room without kitchen, so we do not found the water boiler. But after house holder know we need it, they gave us one.

We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.

Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

The biggest bonus of this little family-run place is its unrivalled location facing the Royal palace. Staff are very responsive and punctual and the place has the charm of a 18th century building.

Clean and comfortable room. Helpful staff. Excellent value for money. Its location near the pedestrianized area around the Plaza Mayor makes it very quiet. I have stayed in many hotels in Madrid and this was by far the quietest. - Fantastic location, just 20 metres from Plaza Mayor. Room small but very clean and all reasonable facilities. Really

This is an ideal Hostal in which to stay - the central location is excellent with many of the major sights within walking distance. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely courteous. This is really nice and cosy Hotel located near the cental Square (less than 1 minute) and metro station (5 minutes). The staff is very polite and helpful. It cost its price and value. I will recomend it to my friend.
