  Very friendly and helpful staff. Relatively cheap. Great location if you want to visit the center of Madrit on foot( especially Museum Prado, Museum Thyssen). Quiet. Ideal for undemanding. - The location was fantastic and our hostess was extremely welcoming and very helpful.   The best value for the money. During our trip to Spain we stayed at 4 different hotels at the same price range and Hostal Carrera was the best. Excellent location at the very heart of Madrid, walking distance to all major attractions and metro. Very clean. Staff is friendly, helpful and speaks English.   Location was perfect. 5 minutes walk from the Grand Via Metro. Reception 24hrs. Maria (the host) was very friendly and helpful. I felt like being at home rather then a privat mini hotel (especially after four days). The rooms were cleaned every day which includes fresh towels (to my very own surpise). The whole place was spotless. Bathroom lacked ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » on space but manageable. Would I stay there again - yes I would! Simplicity is the key! - Hostal Hispano takes WiFi seriously! It is strong and reliable . My room (220) was nice, spacious and quiet. Very clean and lots of fresh white towels. There's a coffee and refreshments machine in the lobby. The area were the hostel is located is terrific. My compliments to the sweet staff.
