Both the owners, Melina and her husband were very friendly, helpful and accomodating. There was some minor miscommunication on our bookings but this was quickly discussed and sorted out with no fuss. She even went the extra mile and asked if we needed more chairs for our extra guest. Most other places would not be bothered with this. The place wa

Our apartment (studio) was very well equipt and cozy. It was set up so it felt like a proper apartment, rather than a bedroom with a kitchenette added on. The owners were lovely and helpful - we arrived in the midst of a snowstorm and they had shovelled a parking space for us. There is a grocery store nearby for self catering. A highlight for us (because of a spell of bad weather) was the satelite TV with many great English channels.

I have stayed here twice now and its a modern well run hotel with a great breakfast buffet.Rooms have wi-fi free of charge and its right off the highway.Casino in the basement for entertainment and a wellness center for a massage facial or sauna! - The staff, facilities, service, and location were all excellent. The cells are amazing, and if you like alternative nights out all the best clubs are right behind the hostel, so no worries about getting home!! The staff are very helpful and despite it's past the hostel has an incredible serene feeling, I felt very happy and comfortable during my stay! -

The hotel is in a very quiet spot but still the excellent location is walking distance from everything important to see and do; the staff were outstanding, friendly and ready to help with bookings and special info. My room was spacious, with good furniture, crisp white linen and had everything I needed. The free wi-fi was great to use my iPad. TV also had a few English programmes for when the feet were too tired for more walking. All-in-all - a hotel I will recommend in a city that I fell

When we first arrived to Guesthouse Stari Tsler, it was 9:30p.m. We just took a 5 hours travel from Croatia and there were no person answering the door after 9:00p.m. We then got a taxi to look for another hostels which were full too. And we called back and there was someone picked us up later on. So remember to leave a message if you checked out

This hotel was perfect. We used it as a base. We went from the hotel to the Julien Alps for a week, then to the Dalmation Coast, then back to the hotel. The woman who runs the hotel couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She let us store our bikes at the hotel for over 2 weeks for free. She carried half our luggage to our room. The Birokrat was in a convenient location just a 15 minute bus ride to
the city center. We were very please with the quality of the room which
was modern and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
The staff was extremely helpful with recommendations and directions.
They also went out of their way to mail a library book and glasses that
we left in the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Parking is possible near the hotel (do not park anywhere else because there is a big parking problem in that area).

This is one of the best hostels I ever stayed in. Been staying there when I go to Ljubljana for almost 7 years now and they never disappointed. And as a new feature, they have heated bathroom floors in some of the new rooms so... hope they keep up the good work. Highly recommended. -
