the rooms were comfortable, the staff I encountered were very good to deal with. didn't like the parking as I had my mother with me and she had to walk a distance; stairs were slow going but then I should have anticipated before arrival and queried. -

We had a fantastic stay at Debretts the staff are very welcoming and due the weather not being the greatest during our stay it was awesome to be able to walk the kids down to the pools and entertain them there. I liked the convenience of having the thermal hot pools right at your door also the cafe for breakfast was excellent value for money. Also The accommodation we stayed in (self contained unit) was perfect for what we required we were able to cook have space to work as this was a business trip/school holiday get-away all in one. great stuff!

Besides the high standard of decor, views, best beds, great welcome staff at reception, rooms clean. Very inviting swimming pool, art on display.

Love staying at this motel. We stay here whenever we are in Taupo.
Lovely owners, nice comfy rooms.
Most upset on letsbookhotel.com. . . .I went onto the motel site and booked, then discovered it wasn't direct - not impressed.

Great value for money. Heated pool real bonus. Clean modern and good location. Fantastic restaurant next door, one of the best meals we have had for a very long time. Great service very friendly service. Will stay their when in Taupo as top preference. 10 out of 10. -

It was far enough from Taupo to get away from the usual tourist crowd.
Everything you need for a relaxing stay is available on the grounds
(spa, hot pools and good food), so if you want a quiet retreat you
don't even need to leave the resort. But if you want to sight-see,
then the resort is still close enough to the good tourist places like
the Hu

The surroundings are lovely and restful, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Facility was well kept and nicer than expected given previous reviews I'd read. Food was very, very good. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful views over Taupo from a lovely room. Lots of space for us with good sized dining/kitchen and lounge and seperate bedroom. All modern, clean, comfortable and stylish. Highly recommended. -

Quiet delightful location, upon arrival we were offered an upgrade from a 1 bedroom studio to a 2 bedroom villa, this was a most unexpected and appreciated welcome.. Free upgrade to 2 bedroom upon arrival with friendly, courteous staff.
Great location just a short drive, or walk to Huka Falls and very convenient for Taupo itself about 5 mins drive to town.
Quiet setting in your own lodge with a nice deck to sit outside and take in the peacefulness and enjoy the sunshine.
The whole place seemed very well maintained inside and out with free wifi which is not so common in NZ.
Would definitely stay again on a longer trip using it as a base to tour Tongariro and

This place defines hospitality! I was late after a long drive. Reception was closed, but I called ahead and Claire organised a room, turned on the lights and the heat and had it ready when I arrived after 10 pm. And she was at the desk again at 7 in the morning when I went for breakfast! I've stayed in hotels all over the world and this is some of

Excellent value for money in this busy resort. We discovered this lovely fresh-water pool on a hot day too. Wonderful! A good tennis court also. New bathroom,comfortable beds and all very clean. Staff helpful. Good breakfast too. Good situation. Nice drive to entrance.

Room was quiet bed was comfortable but room a bit small ok for 2/3 day stay not more.
View from rooms non existent but view from lounge , bar & restaurant was perfect.

Great staff and for the price I was rapt with my room, all I needed and nothing I didn't. great central location, walking distance to everything. Would stay again any day, cheers Base Taupo - Great spot right in the town centre. Awesome freindly staff with good knowledge of want I wanted to know of the area. Good value for your money.
