We were 4 seniors on a fly-drive junket and very pleased with our unit. Clean and tidy, well maintained, kitchen adequate for our needs, clean towels and crisp bed linen and the surrounding grounds testament to a well kept hotel. Everything, it was our best hotel in New Zealand. The apartment was
huge, clean and extremely comfortable. We were a family with 2 children
under 3 and grandparents too and we could all have our space. The
apartment had 2 floors, 2 panoramic balconies looking at the lake, 3
bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and 2 upstairs rooms. Easy access
from the garage to the room through an elevator. I would highly
recommend it!

Nicely located near to the lake, close enough to the city yet far from the noise. Fantastic facilities (washing machine & dryer, Flatscreen TVs in living area and room etc) and very well equiped kitchen with dish washer, oven and microwave. Overall a very comfortable and hassle free stay with excellent value of money! Will definitely recommend

Had an amazing time! Staff were great and rooms perfect! Really couldnt ask for more! Very close to the town (5min walk) in a nice quiet location with stunning views of the lake and snow capped mountains. Great value for money for anyone from families to groups of friends to business trips. We will stay there again for sure!

it was is in walkable distance to all facilities..restaurants, shopping, lakeside etc.
Clean and secure accommodation. Right next door to the police stn.. lol..large comfortable rooms, loads of information, free parking, ensuite and bathroom for the kids..all great -

This is a review of the family unit/ studio unit for 4 persons. This studio unit is very good value for money for 4 persons compared to another room we had also stayed in ( a private twin/ double for 3 persons which was rather cramped ). It is spacious, has parking just outside the unit and comes equipped with ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette.

Excellent place to go with a large party as you can hire out all the rooms within one unit and consume alcohol from any hour throughout the day, unlike all the other hostel/backpackers that like to have a curfew, very close to town, very comfortable and stress free stay!! A++

This is the best accommodation in Queenstown. Views from apartment 16 were breathtaking. Andrew, who is probably the manger, is an absolutely helpful and nice person. Interior design of the apartment is incredible and the colours are so comforty for the eyes and stylish. The hotel offers free internet, yummy sweets on arrival and there was a free iPhone app works as a guide and offers advice on activities in QT. SIMPLY THE BEST, SIMPLY COMING BACK.

The relaxation .after a fun day,,,we were two grandmas and a

We booked a room with Lake view and asked for a balcony. We got both, with a friendly smile at our arrival. The extra cost for the stunning lake view is worth while. The location is excellent, in walking distance to Queenstown centre, ski gear rentals, cafes, eateries and supermarket. The staff were friendly. The hotel is good, the rooms good, with enough space for two people and two (open) suitcases + trolleys and still room to circulate. It had tea and coffee facilities and a little fridge.

The Haka lodge is located perfectly for anyone wanting to be a close walk from Shotover St, however is also nicely set in a quieter area of Queenstown. 5 minute walk from all bars and shops, the Haka lodge is excellent value for all backpackers. Still looking as good as new, kitchens, bathrooms and bedroom (ours a double room) was perfect for our short 2 nights stay. Had a very friendly dog called Monty! :-)

The Lodge was very spacious, gorgeous view of the lake, convenient to center of town. I would encourage you to pay extra for the lake view - it is wonderful and worth the little price. The balcony is great. The full breakfast was very good. The owners were very friendly and always helpful. This Lodge is highly recommended.

Can't wait to get back there next year - I'm pretty fussy and I won't rate a place unless it goes beyond my expectation and this place did in every respect. Security is important when travelling alone and AVA does it all with style and ease. I've stayed in 4 star hotels that don't have the quite keyless entry doors with closers that don't allow the doors to slam or squeak yet still allow entry in the wee hours.It's the little things like quality loo paper, body/hair wash free in the showers, the beds, people, everything was excellent - Best place to meet new people...right next to tonnes of bars and night spots. Had friends staying at other local backpackers and after three days of noise in their 10-bed dorm they were begging to move in with us! AVA is the best of both worlds - all the party spots right outside the door, but we could still come back to peace and quiet and much needed sleep. Both our rooms had ensuites - so luxurious compared to other backpackers we'd stayed in. Best value in Queenstown! Incredible views too.

The fantastic view from all 3 windows which I've looked the harbour, the cable-car and the mountains; the very good kitchen facilities; the helpful owners, friendly welcome and free Wi-Fi. 2 mins walk from town and lakeside though it is a climb back up but easily manageable. Excellent value, owners are new and are putting improvements in every day

It has new owners who are doing everything they can to update and upgrade the facilities. This takes time but in the meantime they have made the rooms as comfortable as possible and go out of their way to make guests welcome. They showed true kiwi hospitality. It is located just 2 minutes from the town centre so you do not need a car. Everything is within walking distance.They have effective heating and it is clean and comfortable so a great place to stay and a good standard.
