  We stayed in the basic room. Though very small, it was very well equiped, nothing was missing, from hair dryer to coffee facilities. The view was very nice, right on the Amstel river, giving you the sensation you were actually floating. Mirjiam was very nice, delivering breakfast every morning to our room. It was very clean and cosy. There was no reception, so you were on - Stayed in the suite - nicely decorated, tons of kitchen tools, two 2 piece bathrooms, lovely continental breakfasts each day and hosts that were very friendly and eager to please. The host also provided a ton of detailed directions for us before our arrival. They were also very responsive to our emails and texts.

  We loved everything! Except the stairs. Our room was up 5 floors of steep stairs but if you can get over that... The rest was awesome! Extremely clean, very large, very well equipped, great bathroom, large kitchen area, special comfy beds and very modern.   Excellent accommodation not far from the center of Amsterdam, but also in a quiet part of town. Windows overlook to a nice patio, room is clean, bright, equipped with the basic necessities for a perfect stay. You can drink coffee in the morning, breathing fresh air and admiring the view.   It was my first visit to Amsterdam. The boat is next to the centrall station (10 minutes walking) in a really quiet dock! We were living at 4:00 in the morning and they made us an early breakfast. - Very interesting as we'd never stayed on a boat only a big ship!   A very nice place to stay with friendly and especially helpful staff. Breakfast is good, the place is spotless, and it is to very close to the sights, and the train station. Since it is a docked boat it is also very quiet. Don't forget it is a boat cabin what you will get.   I certainly recommend this place as an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam, whilst being able to retreat to a nice peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. I emailed Rene before our trip and he gave us some excellent advice regarding transport to the boat and how to get about during our stay. The weather was so cold and awfull for our trip, we spent a lot of time on the boat, it was warm, there were hundreds of good DVDs so we watched loads, and fed the swans, and ducks through the open window!
