My girlfriend and I spent several days staying here in September 2013.
As many others have said, Alessandro and Monica are wonderfully hospitable and helpful.
To put this into context, down the years I have travelled to well over 100 countries, staying in all manner of accommodation from 5* hotels to backpacker hostels. I have been to Italy alone

Il Sogno is in a stunning location, very peaceful, with lovely accommodation and a beautiful pool area. Alessandro is a mine of information and will advise on the best beaches and places to eat - and his wife will bake you the most beautiful cake and bread! Wonderful hosts and wonderful location, what more could you ask for!! I would recommend to anybody looking for a beautiful retreat in the countryside with a quick car journey into Alghero town.

We traveled to Cala Gonone as a young couple and found Residence Biriola very easy to find. Upon arriving we were greeted by Bruno, the elder statesman of the residence, who was quite simply charming. He took us around, showed us the garden at the back and told us we could help ourselves to the fresh herbs and chillis. We loved it! The facilities here are superb and we felt truly spoiled from the moment we arrived. Lovely big suite with very spacious terrace. We stayed on a half board basis and the food is very good, but gets a bit samey after a while, but all of the staff are exceptional and they LOVE children.
