Out of all the different options we had, we (3 friends) chose an apartment managed by Biriola Holiday - mainly because of the huge number of positive reviews. We were glad to be there in the low season, when Cala Gonone is almost empty (i.e. no tourists), -
We traveled to Cala Gonone as a young couple and found Residence Biriola very easy to find. Upon arriving we were greeted by Bruno, the elder statesman of the residence, who was quite simply charming. He took us around, showed us the garden at the back and told us we could help ourselves to the fresh herbs and chillis. We spent 5 nights at this great location. The appartment was very new
and functional with great views over Muravera, San Vito and Villaputzu
from the large balcony. As a matter of fact, the residence has a very
quiet and strategic location. I have to mention as well the very
friendly welcome at the arrival and all useful tips and help provided by

Very clean, well equipped and great view. The balcony was huge and great place to relax. The beach is only 5 min away and there are several beaches (Costa Rei area, Villasimius within 20-30 min drive). One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at was only 5 min away (Mariana Gio) and located right in the beach. The TV even had english channels which was nice for late night relaxing. The bed, although firm was very comfortable.

The Cavalli family have shown us they go the extra mile in the event of problems. Simply outstanding.
It is a busy place with WiFi, swimming pool. Regular offers of night Safaris in the vast area of an old mining territory leading up to the beach in a Range Rover.
Homegrown vegetables will usually be part of the Dinner.

A car is required, there are no buses over the weekend and no official cab company nearby, but some neighbour or friend -
We had a nice evening with a lot of interesting people which we met during the good dinner. The staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are clean, you'll find everything you need. The location is a little bit lonely but typical for a agriturismo and there are two awesome beaches nearby (only reached by car though). Thank you for the pleasant stay!

Very nice guesthouse. There's the main old building and a more modern annexe. The rooms in the old building are more authentic, but we were very happy with our room on the top floor of the newer building. Nice terrace with great view over the city.

amazing food and staff, gorgeous courtyard, lovely rooms and location. really fascinating medieval town with not much to do, but close to the beaches of Oristano. must have a car!

Great place to stay, especially if you wish to escape a noisy Cagliari
but still want to be close enough to easly reach it by car. It's
situaded 5 min away from the beach, in the fenced complex of apts (which
is great for parking your car too). There is a supermarket really close
to the place as well.

Real Italian coffee maker was very sweet surprise. It had to be just

best we stayed in all Sardinia. We really enjoyed stay there, if I go
back to Sardinia around Cagliari, I stay there again for sure. We
traveled around Sardinia, ant it was the best apartment of all we
stayed. Worth to stay.

We stayed at this hotel as part of our five week motoring tour of Italy. It is conveniently located for easy access to the central piazza in Pula and the wonderful sandy beaches and the ruins of Nora along the coast. Our room was well appointed complete with balcony overlooking the pool.

We stayed at this hotel for eight days in July and found it to be extremely comfortable, clean and peaceful. The owners Mr and Mrs Gallia were very welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the square and the same to walk to the beach but if you enjoy walking it is a pleasant stroll although there is a shuttle bus available. Great value for money and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. All rooms seem to have either a balcony or their own patio/chairs etc.. Rooms cleaned to a high standard every day and towels replaced. Very efficient air con. Also has mini bar, safe, television, hairdryer etc... All the things you would expect to find in a good hotel but the

The staff we met were so friendly and acted on any requests promptly and efficiently. The hotel is within an easy 15 minute stroll of the village centre and yet remote from the hurly burly. Great Pool, extremely clean. Rooms clean and of good size and quality of daily maintenance of rooms and towel changes really good. The night reception staff member Giovanni was so welcoming after a really late arrival following a stressful journey.
