Breakfast and only 2 or 3 m walking to San Marco - The hotel was charming, bright and full of character. We stayed in the Junior Suite which had a jacuzzi, a reasonably priced mini-bar, a flat screen TV and the room was decorated in a quintessentially Italian manner. We had the room with a balcony over looking the canal. Nice to watch the boats, gondolas coming and going. We got a water taxi in front of train station and it took us right to hotel door. The two-bedroom suite was great. The rooms were large and nicely decorated. The bathroom had an additional room with a 2nd sink, so two adults could easily get cleaned up. This hotel was fairly close to everything. Hotel was close to a square with many restaurants and bars. Room was clean and air conditioned. Room was not fancy but was fine and the hotel was a good value. Staff did not speak English but were still nice.

The staff at Ca'San Giorgio was very accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. There is free tea, coffee, and cookies 24h in the lobby and the free breakfast is perfect. The hotel has every amenity you could possibly want. The location is great - not very close to the attractions but less than a 15 minute walk to any of the major landmarks.

It's hard to find decent prices in Venice for an ensuite room within walking distance from the train station. That said, Alloggi Sardegna was a very good option.
Lady in reception couldn't speak english but we were able to understand her italian. She was very kind all times.
Room and bathroom had good space. Breakfast was basic but with an excellent italian coffee -- served in our room every morning.
