Highly recommended!! I liked everything about it! It's almost like I don't want to say too much because I was so positively surprised by how we were taken care of. I've never had a better hotel experience (even at fancy places), and it felt like staying with a nice Greek family. FYI: don't get a taxi at the port, but look for the Hotel Grotta van, they pick you up. Or you can simply walk a little ways away from the ferry (we came by ferry) and look up to your left. Theo who runs the hotel is the nicest : always a smile, a kind word or a piece of advice. He helped us a lot with his hiking maps. The room is very clean, everything is new and it is decorated in good taste. The breakfast is only 5€ if you stay at the hotel and very complete (Theo is a caterer in Athens during the winter...) and you can have it at your balcony or at a table facing the sea. Staying with Eleni is like staying with your mum, in a good way! She bakes pastries for breakfast and treats everyone wonderfully. She can advise you on restaurants and prices for car rentals and boat trips. You are behind a beach hotel, so the view is of the mountain and fields, but the beach is a couple of minutes away. The port and town is five minutes walk away and very convenient. We ran into people on another island who also sang Eleni's praises.

Η τοποθεσία έχει πολύ ωραία θέα προς την θάλασσα, ευρύχωρο μπαλκόνι, ευρύχωρα δωμάτια, πεντακάθαρα, ευάερα, ευήλια με όλες τις ευκολίες διαμονής, πισίνα και τζακούζι.
Το προσωπικό είναι πολύ ευγενικό, φιλικό, έτοιμο για κάθε εξυπηρέτηση.

Every care was taken to ensure my stay was pleasant. My room was comfortable and clean and the view was spectacular from the lounge. It is close enough to town, easier going down since it's above the town, so allow for time coming back up.

Η κα Δώρα, ο κ.Φώτης και η Άννα είναι υπέροχοι άνθρωποι που αγαπούν αυτό που κάνουν. Τέλεια εξυπηρέτηση, καθαριότητα, επαγγελματισμός, το ξενοδοχείο διακοσμημένο με μεράκι. Ο Μέγας Γιαλός δεν είναι κάτι το ιδιαίτερο αλλά τα κολπάκια μπροστά στο ξενοδοχείο είναι ωραία και βολικά. Το ίδιο και η γνωστή ταβέρνα εκεί κοντά, τέλεια!!!

Lovely, pristine and clean room with plenty of space and fantastic facilities for self-catering and cooking. Well-equipped kitchen and large fridge with freezer.
The room decoration is fresh, really pretty and very homely. The bedding is lovely and clean and changed every couple of days, along with the towels.
The air-con is great during the warm nights. TV and Wifi are also great for keeping up to date with things as and when we need to.

We stayed 3 nights this August, and were extremely impressed by the staff, Stavros and Elizabeth made us feel like we were old friends. Restaurant resos , club suggestions and beach advice every day. Not to mention, some tasty cocktails. Would highly recommend Lofos!!

Stuff of hotel was incredible friendly and helpfull. They have lots of homemade or local drinks and foods. The village and beach were peacefull and naturally. Only you have to know is that there is not ATM or car/moto rental. You have to get money before you come and then only relax.
