  The hotel is an attractive, nicely restored mansion that is close to train station ( walk in 15 minutes) and the tram or bus to get to the old city is only a block away. Take tram 4 from the train station if you do not want to walk to the hotel. Get off at the 3rd stop then walk one block. After a day of walking, my wife was not up to walking to any local restaurants so he - The reception by the staff was very friendly and informative. The building was fancy and the rooms are large. The king- sizey bed was excellent and the bathroom was nice. We also had a great time in the City of Ghent, which we had a nice walk to (about 20-30 minutes) and returned from by tram.   This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel on our way to Austria for a skiing holiday. The excellent food and service gives us a good feel to the start of our holiday. - Warm welcome and very comfortable room. We were only a one stop over on route from Germany to Calais.   I personally only booked rooms for my boss/colleagues to stay sounfortunately did not stay myself. However, I am told that this hotel isabsolutely superb, the staff are very friendly and the executive suite'sare quite simply 'stunning' . Would have no hesitation in recommendingthis hotel and they can't wait for the opportunity to return!   Really helpful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Will definatly be staying at this hotel again. Quite difficult to find hotel parking due to one way systems and pedestrian streets but hotel staff were brilliant with directions. - The location in the town centre.   Driving from UK to Germany, Steenhove B&B is located 3 minutes from motorway. Building itself is wonderful, a converted mushroom factory with barrel vaulted ceilings. Owners were very accommodating & helpful. Small bar in hotel, but no restaurant; however, owner directed me to a great local restaurant 5 minutes drive away.   I have stayed at Ibis hotels many times before. Always a good time, but this time the Hotel really impress. The size of the room, against the normal Ibis network was huge and the staff very pleasant. Congratulations - Location was excellent and the room was very good value.
