  I chose The Dalles Inn for its price and likely close proximity to a choice of restaurants, as well as convenience to several area museums. The pool also appealed to me. The breakfast was a good continental breakfast, and the room -- a compact "queen studio" -- was a good, clean, quiet place to sleep with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee ma... was die leute sagen » ker. - Nice, well maintained facility in the heart of town. Updated rooms are clean and comfortable. Common areas are nicely styled and designed to meet their purpose (the breakfast room is a real breakfast facility -- not a corner with too few tables and some stale donuts).

The restaurant chef cooks the garlic mashed potatoes as a treat for the staff, order those, they are to die for! - Nothing. If we werent so tired from traveling I would have left and gone somewhere else.
